if anything about it is great, it is not among the worst movies of all time.

and let's be real, take out the fucking stupid parts (masturbation talk, calling w/ a visa to the pentagon whilst engaging an alien robot), that movie is gd awesome.

track of the moon beast deserves a mention.

i actually watched it after seeing it on mst3k and was amazed at how horrible it was. mst3k actually made it pretty entertaining. (not that i'm surprised by that, but by how much better it was with commentary)

"moon rocks... oh, wow."

[Edited on February 14, 2008 at 7:37 AM. Reason : mst3k]

I thought transformers sucked, but the effects in that movie were awesome enough to make it decent. Incredible effects. The pacing of the movie was bad, the whole "Sector 7" thing was bad.

But it was rad that Optimus Prime had the same voice as the cartoon. That excited me.

Worst movie ever though? how about:

Sorry if it's already been mentioned... "Once upon a time in Mexico" was by far the worst movie I've ever seen.

Runner ups: * Chronicles of Narnia
* Pirates - at worlds end
* Saw 3

transformers sucked fucking ass.

so god damn stupid.

so, a robot had to hit a button on his arm to project a map/code so he could read it... thats like a computer printing out a file on paper, and holding it up to the monitor to "read" it. So god damn stupid. And there are literally dozens of fucking retarded things like that all throughout the movie

its based on a set of books, which are far better than the movie obviously...

Contact had the potential to be a badass movie. The whole thing was really good till the end. Could they seriously have not come up with something better than that ending?

Dragon Wars...

A friend convinced me to see it, and if it wasn't for the high special effects budget, it probably would have ended up being a "Sci-fi channel original". The plot was based on a book that was probably shitty, and even then you didn't know what was going on because it barely skimmed what would have been covered in print. Crucial details were left out, leaving you wondering what was going on or why. The acting didn't exist, and the dialog was even less original than Star Wars (I wouldn't be surprised if they had even copied a few lines directly). About 15 minutes in our group was just laughing at how absurdly bad it was.

dear lord, Swordfish is on TNT. it's probably been mentioned already, but this movie is littered with horribly inaccurate computer jargon - even for non-techies.

The Dukes of Hazzard- ruined what was a popular and good eighties tv show. Leave it to Jessica Simpson to fuck up a southern accent when she is southern.

Jaws III: Absolutely terrible. The series hit the ground when Roy Scheider left. Two sharks attack Sea World? One of them is the baby and a mother? Give me a break. Plus, the film quality is shitty and it looks very washed out in that eighties style and every character looks rail thin. Then there is the last climactic scene where the shark approaches the glass and its not even moving. A HORRIBLE MOVIE.

Batman and Robin: Oh man, don't get me started.

Batman Returns: Penguin is a mutated freak from the sewers with flippers and spews black liquid from his mouth as he dies? Burton got too carried away and made this shit too dark and warped. Penguin is supposed to be a gangster interested in thievery who dresses with a suit, top hat, spats, and a manacle. Take you some Prozac prior to watching this one b/c it will leave you so down and dumpy you feeling you might be contemplating suicide after a 2 hr. ride through the sporadic mind of tim burton.

Memoirs of a Geisha: Girlfriend drug me to this. A movie that glorifies prostitution? At the end of this one I stood up and made eye contact with a complete stranger behind me who had also been drug there by his girl. We both just shook our heads. That said it all!
