^its not that, its just that those who do that are some times looking for a man and then once they get one they feel that they don't have to do that any more to get have someone want to be with them. thus they gain wait. and really thats where terpball is coming from. when this happens, or that type of girl does that, it is misleading, because you assume shes into it for her health but really all she wanted was to catch you. its the ol' bait and switch.

Okay, then why work out in the first place? Why eat healthy in the first place? Why stop after you're in a relationship?

That would be like me stealing jokes to tell you for the first 3 months we're dating... you have a strong attraction to my sense of humor. The jokes stop after 3 months because I've already got you. You are no longer attracted to my sense of humor, because I'm not stealing jokes anymore.

That would make me one dishonest bastard right?

"20lbs seems like a lot, but it really isn't. i can hardly tell a difference lookswise between my friends that are around the same height and that weigh 20 or 30lbs more than me. yes, we wear different sizes, but you honestly wouldn't know it. i guess maybe its a huge difference if you went from like 95lbs to 120lbs. but if you go from like 115 to 130 i mean....it really isn't that substantial i don't think. am i wrong? i don't even think that is a drastic change in clothes size. maybe you'd go from a 2 to a 4 or something or even a 6 OMG so fat. but really...20lbs...i don't get the hype."

20lbs is A LOT...unless you're already like 250lb.

20lbs on someone who is 115 is more than 1/6 of their body weight. 1/6th!! If you can "hardly tell a difference" when someone adds 1/6th of their body weight, then maybe you need to get a new prescription. A lot does depend on your height though. A girl that is around the 5' mark will not carry that extra 20lbs well. But a girl who is 5 and a half feet and taller can spread that 20lbs out.

I weigh a little under 155lbs, and if I put on 20 lbs I'd consider myself a fattie.

yea i didnt think about the height factor, prob. cause in 5'6.5"

and maybe there are other reasons why she doesnt work out as much, I used to work out everyday but now I spend some of that time w/ my boyfriend..instead of working out.

right i thought about the height. if you are like 5 feet yes it will make a difference. but i don't see a marked difference between my friends who are of similar height that weigh 20lbs more....like if you looked at them you probably wouldn't think they were THAT much bigger than me. plus its not like girls gain weight all in the stomach/waist either. a lot if it is in boobs and ass so i guess that helps "spread" the weight too

a size 4 is nothing to complain about.

when she starts having to buy new jeans or something...then you can worry.

and girls in healthy relationships shouldnt have to eat salads all the time or have makeup on or style their hair unless its a special occasion. you're in a relationship with her; if her eating habits make you think badly of her, just end it.

i mean really...unless you're dating a really really REALLY short chick....size 4 is tinyyy.

If any guy ever yelled at me for "ballooning up" when I went from a 2 to a 4 I'd dump him on the spot.

but you can tell her i have some clothes I can no longer fit in if she's interested lol (size 4 so hah...i lost weight in my relationship).

my girl and i watch out for each other, making sure we both stay healthy and exercise when we can and often do together.

but if she wants to eat an ice cream sandwich at 3am, that's fine with me! it's her choice to do so, and as long as she does it with moderation does it really matter? i expect her to offer me one too

even if she does gain a few extra pounds, im not gonna love her any less.

and jessiejepp, you can eat as much as you want just as long as you show off those nice legs

awwwwww, yeeeaaaaah

he'd be singing a different tune if she pigged out every night and surprised him with a huge gut and 20 extra pounds all of a sudden - especially given the history of them looking out for one-another

and i guess here's something a little shallow about me, but maybe not entirely unreasonable?

i like girls who take care of themselves and like to be healthy. i don't find it attractive if someone just sits inside and eats fatty foods all day w/o exercising, etc. i'd find a heavier person who exercises and tries to take care of themselves much more attractive than a skinny girl blessed w/ an excellent metabolism who sits around eating junk food all the time.

i just dont eat.

i think thats my problem. but when i do, i try to be healthy. i dont drink sodas...i live off water & cranberry/kiwi juice. but then i add water to those too.

and i'm vegetarian but hoping to get back to eating white meat soon if my stomach can survive.

skinny girls who eat a lot = on crack ftw

you don't eat... don't you get hungry?

ive been working on improving my girlfriend's diet, just because she doesn't eat a lot sometimes, especially when she's stressed out w/ school and stuff. she just forgets to eat.

me, on the other hand, i eat more than i need to just so i don't get hungry. i hate that feeling

It's more of a devil's advocate thing. I dated a couple girls who got lazy and grew a little, not enough for me to be too concerned - but it did cause me to think "hey, what if this shit continues?"

the last couple that i've dated for more than a month or so put on weight. so lets talk about those

one, i ended up getting back with her a couple months later and she had been going to the gym while she was single. stopped once we got back together.

and the most recent, i actually saw her dumb ass IN THE GYM after we stopped dating.

no one can convince me that its anything else besides "they let themselves go when they feel wanted"

Bullshit. There are gays lesbians of all shapes, sizes and health levels.

In the hunter gatherer sense, women are vessels for offspring. If a woman don't look healthy, then more than likely their kid is going to have all sorts of issues. It's the way we are cut out.

I consider myself in good shape and somewhat attractive, I don't feel it so wrong to be interested in chics at least as attractive as me. Not that I'm thinking about kids, but I value someone who takes an active interest in taking care of themself .

I don't think there is anything wrong for wanting to be with someone who takes care of their body. I also think there has to be a more realistic image as well. Anytime a big change takes place in someone's life, chances are their schedule changes around it, and for some people that means they can't make it out to the gym as often, or they don't have time to cook that dinner, and they had to run by fast food on the way.

Eventually, unless the person just has the body that will stay thin, most people will put on weight and get flabby even when they do take care of their body, it's a part of life.
The best thing to ask for is to just be healthy. Even skinny people can be all sickly.

Different people have different priorities. Sure changes happen, but ultimately what you do is your choice.

The part that you didn't get, didn't really come out right.

Some people just naturally stay thin their whole life with out worry about what they eat or their level of activity. Unfortunately most people arn't like that and their metabolism will slow down. There are also some people who have taken care of their bodies their whole life but are still overweight because of other factors that they can't control. Like horemone inbalances, thyroid problems, and genetics.

So like I said, nothing wrong with wanting to be with someone that takes care of their body, and yes probably the majority of the time the size they are will reflect if they take care of their body, but some people you just can't tell.
