my budget messed up because I had to redo one of my accounts. hopefully it will fix itself when it updates to next month.. I know it said it would mess up when i deleted the account but I figured it would be fixed once it rolled over to the next month. Anyone have this issue?

Is there anyway to have mint automatically rename something when it pulls the information from my account. My bank just records the address of where I spent the money and mint doesn't always recognize what it is...

For example: It reads "Princess" and puts it in the travel category. This is actually a Farm Fresh grocery store off of Princess Anne rd. Is there anyway for me the tell mint that when it picks up "Princess" from my acct. to recognize it as "Farm Fresh" and categorize it as grocery?

This one comes in just as "City".

Edit the field after clicking the transaction in the box to the left of utilities, to whatever you want, then click the rules box indicating to always change the name from "City" to what is in that box and to have that category.

that should work for what you're trying to do. easy peasy.

Eugh, apparently this was happening with my UBS account too. I sold a bunch of stuff at the end of last year and it's showing up as positive income, when it either shouldn't show up at all or have two transactions, one positive, one negative showing.

so mint can only pull a part of the first month of available data (say, my banks post data from 3 months ago through today). therefore, in mint, I only have half the data from june, which renders mint's analyses/trends/etc. useless for that month and it fucks up the summary/averages/best/worst months... any way around this?

Is it a business account or a credit card where you can have one or more sub cards? If so you should be able to hide one of them to prevent duplicate transactions from showing.

had a card comprimised, so had a new card and account issued.

was satisfied with how painless it was in mint.

select all imported transactions on new card, mark all as duplicate (online history was migrated for one billing period)

I accidentally linked two accounts and now I can't unlink them. Support responded quickly, but they were unable to view the screen shot they requested because apparently 800K is too big of an attachment for them to receive.

I understand they have to react to any of the bank's changes, but if they can't figure that out ASAP, then they're useless. and why do I have to wait a few minutes at each log in for it to refresh my accounts? it should already be up to date

^^ what banks are you using? I very rarely have connectivity issues, and if I due, it is usually on the banks' side (ie Vanguard's periodic requirement to re-enter the security question answers). My accounts also refresh immediately if I am on a computer. It doesn't always on my phone but that is no big deal to me.

Because hitting the accounts ahead of time prior to you logging in would be a huge performance drain.
