I preordered mine from amazon.com this morning. The codes are supposed to show up under Your Account->Media Library->Bonus software, but for some reason, they aren't showing up for alot of people. If you don't see them there, just call Amazon and they'll have someone straighten it out.

Fun, but I have NO idea what I am doing. I am playing a sorcerer, I just run around clicking shit, and then clicking 2.

Is there an easier way to target enemies then clicking them? Having trouble clicking people when they are in the middle of a group.

I have no idea how to train skills, do anything. Am at lvl 4 and have basically everything I started with. I'm a moron, but having fun.

You may want to press the "H" button and read through the gameplay basics. Also, there should be a PDF included in your installation directory that covers the real general concepts. But to answer a couple of your questions...

Use the TAB key to target. It cycles through the nearest targets, so press it multiple times if necessary. It has a range limit on it, so play around with it.

In EVERY single quest hub there is an NPC with a bullseye over their head and the words "Career Trainer" under that. Find that person and get your new skills.

And for the love of all things holy, please don't click your skills. They are bound to keys (which you can change by hitting the "Escape" key, then going to key bindings). It's pretty important to have most of your high usage skills bound to something close by your movement keys. If you're using WADS to move, then that means using 1 2 3 4 r f g and things like that as your main attacks/heals/etc.

But I'd start just by reading through all the basic information in the help area. It seems like you need to spend a little time getting to know the game.

Anyone else having horrid like 2 fps character animations on mobs and other players? This is the only thing wrong with the game for me and I can't figure out how to fix it. Got my first blue from the greenskin boss in the first dwarf PQ!

The dialog is great.

Also found that nobody in the game talks.. sorta funny. Not sure if everyone is just wrapped up in their own learning or what.

^^
Thanks, I do have the stuff hotkeyed don't click. I didn't realize there was that PDF file.. read through it now def helped. I didn't play WoW, last MMO was UO, so this a bit different.

Anyone else having choppy animation problems on mobs and players farther than AoE range or is it just me?

The combat feedback needs a huge overhaul. It's hard to tell if you are even hitting things. Tankfully this is one of the issues that they are confirming fixes for.

The only time people talked was in an open PQ group I made, and even then it was minimal chat. Think people are scared to talk, heh.

My game play is pretty smooth, might need to upgrade your comp or put the settings lower. I was running it at high, and changed it to balance which seemed good. I've been in some large RvR, and it was very smooth.

Like you, I often have no idea if I'm actually hitting something. Like I said before, just stand back and deal damage. Problem with nobody talking, especially during RvR is there was no strategy of who we were targetting. So like people on my side were all going after a tank who was just being healed, I was trying to kill the healer who was being healed. Then we all died. Going to give the sorcerer another day, but I haven't liked it as much as I thought.

This is my squig herder I got to lvl 6 so far.

Before the last couple patches the small green skins looked horrible.

The models are much better now.

Tanks seem much stronger than other archtypes. I won't say overpowered, but at the lower levels they are vastly superior. Hopefully it evens out.

I dunno, seems pretty typical of some of the mmo's I've played. Warrior type classes are better early, casters better later. I personally don't mind if some classes are a bit better at first, and others a bit better later on, as long as it isn't an extreme where one class is unstoppable early, and another unstoppable later. To have everyone just exactly equal at all times won't happen.

I absolutely crush them with my zealot. Tank vs melee dps, tank will win every time though

I played a Witchhunter over the preview weekend, which I liked.

My Bright Wizard was weak as fuck at first. Just got 10 so I have the AoE root now, which makes it much better. I was getting pwned before since I couldn't out blast a healers heals, and melee's would eat me up too.

Ironbreakers are a lot of fun when you have a healer. Is it just my server or does the order always seem to loose the scenarios?

no order is awful at the moment. I got with a good party yesterday and we tore it up, good healers, I'm an Ib and I think I died 2 times in 6 or 7 scenarios, and we won by 200-300 points.

But then once I wasn't with that party anymore we are losing by that much. I guess the good thing is, it is nice to know a good party can do well, but depressing to think that if i don't find good people to play with often it is frustrating.

My Ib w/ a healer is a lot of fun. Plus it is nice for PvE. I wanted to roll the sorc but just died to much. I'd rather stay alive and do less damage then do a lot of damage and be dead all the time.

If you've got the beta client, then you've got the full game minus maybe a really small patch. Then when you get your game from Amazon you can just enter your retail codes in. They are having ~1 week grace period for pre-order folks to get their keys from the vendors.

45 minutes until I can play, RAWR!

Server: Badlands
Side: Order
Toon: Bloodyhell - Iron Breaker

Should have about 30 people playing including Mythic peeps, buahahah

^^ Yep, you can just buy and play. If it is from Amazon expect a 14 hour download though. But you do gety some extra items in the game with preorder so I would go ahead and do it either way if you are going to try it out.

^ I would think that you have the full game with beta but have also heard that it isn't the full game yet. Maybe a patch will update it or you have to fully install the released game. Not sure either way.

Started playing this morning, zealot on Middenheim. I picked a server that was new today and was 'not cool sounding" in hopes that it doesn't fill up super fast and then end up with long ques. I think my plan worked, as I was essentially the only person playing this morning in that area. I even ran through the RVR zone and nothing.

I'll be rolling an order server too, let me know where people are playing and I'll do that. Will either play an IB or WH. So far very fun.

There are currently 4 servers on which players are experiencing high wait times. All other servers currently have no queue at this time. The servers are:

Volkmar
Skull Throne
Badlands
Dark Crag

Thank you for your cooperation. Have fun!

Just posted. I won't be doing Badlands if that is the case. Hopefully the server I did pick is starting to fill up though. Still looking for a server to roll Order with sometime today or tomorrow if anyone is interested in playing. I know nobody in game.

Badlands is not bad at all. I had a 1.5 minute wait to get into it at 6 or so and have been playing fine since. The high pop makes the PQs awesome and probably not nearly was fun in lower pop servers. I know first hand because I was on Mad Dog for the open and I was tryign to do the PQs with like 2 people and sucking it up.

I also know a lot of people on an open server for order.

Still waiting to find my Destro home.

Also, found a random blue shoulder drop on my IBer when I was 5, lul.

Wolfenburg (Open - Order) is where I'm going tonight. I know some other people there and word on the street is that Order actualy win most of the time.

^ Hammerer was taken out of the game for now.

IBers are a fun class once you realize how to utilize the talents. They have one that turns Grudge (like rage for a warrior) into Action Points and you can go from 0 to 100 in like 2 seconds. I hear that this balances out later on because their stronger attacks are grudge based but still, makes them hella fun to play.

Got my IB on badlands rolling this morning before work, up to level 5. Order was awful in scenarios.. healers don't heal, people just run around and die. We lost 5 - 500. No joke.

So now I'll have my zealot on manehiem and IB on badlands. going to bounce back and forth between the two. IB is a lot of fun, with a healer it is great because you can really rack your grudge up and then do some damage. If you don't have heal support forget it.
