^x4 and i thought the hard-core liberals and libertarians were the paranoid ones babbling about gov't conspiracies with the CIA and bankist elite controlling the nation.

We just have to visit TSB to realize that after election of a half black president; that in reality it is the right thta has gone off the deep end. With their theories that human made global warming is a big hoax created by Al Gore in friends. The above posts about how gov't policy the last 20-30 years were all engineered to fuck up the health care system so that the sneaky liberals could swoop in and trick us into believing UHC is the solution to the broken system.

I guess I should have seen this all along in the post 9/11 environment when every conservative was up in arms thinking Saddam Hussein was secretly planning to blow up grandma's house.

I think those who implemented the policies listed above did so with very good intentions - the same good intentions some naive politicians have when suggesting price controls. Unfortunately, not enough attention was/is paid to the law of unintended consequences.
