The rumor about Lowe leaving is probably the dumbest one I've heard. Seriously. But let's play this scenario out for the heck of it.

What kind of job would Sid leave for in the pros? He's already done the assistant thing, so I doubt that would be it. Not enough incentive for him to leave his current position in my opinion.

He's done the head-coaching thing too,and that didn't work out too well, so I doubt anyone would hire him for that. If they did, it would likely be at a shitty team where he would struggle to succeed and likely be fired after a year, so he would be back to square one.

That leaves GM or some higher up position within one of the teams. Why would anyone offer him that? It's not like he's the Bill Parcels of the NBA or something.

Nope. This is all just a rumor. That or somebody in the pros is a lot dumber than I'm giving them credit for. Time will tell.

I just hope that Fowler gets fired so that some of my faith in the sports gods can be restored.

college is different. it's OK to have a different team to root for every couple of years. players are only around for 1-4 years then they're gone. it's tough to form a bond. the only bonds you can really form are with the coaches and ADs.
