On June 4th, the Rockies were 20-32.

Tood Helton just hit a walk-off HR at home and they are now 35-33.

Unfuckingbelievable.

So Dice-K might be done for the year, Brandon Webb might be done for the year, Jake Peavy might be done for the year

whats the latest on Fat Ass Sabathia? Did all the cheeseburgers finally catch up, or is it something minor?

Does Dice-Gay get his 10 million even if he's done for the season?

hahahaha. I really want a serious answer to that, because I don't know.

Yes. It's likely he isn't even hurt. I think he had three options - Go to the DL, get benched indefinitely, or get traded. He has a no-trade clause, so he'd have to go somewhere that could afford him and be willing to go.

They can pay him 9 million to give up a run per inning or they can pay him 9 million to collect splinters.

It's like the Phillies just busted out all the runs they've needed on their little 6 game skid.

As an Utley owner, I'm content with his 2/3, double, HR, 2 R, 4 RBI, after 3.5 innings

Oh shit, we scored a run. Don't call it a comeback.

I'm predicting an Indians-style comeback on a Phillies' "We got this, playa" move.

hahahah

Cleveland is up 4-0 on Pittsburgh right now

I predict a Nyjer Morgan walkoff double in the 11th

also Derek Lee just boosted his hitting streak to 20 games with a 6th inning double off Edwin Jackson

In other news, I was listed as 6'6" and 230 pounds my senior year of HS football. They exaggerated that a bit too.

^^^ Kinsler what? I agree with the rest of your lineups, but Kinsler over the year Aaron Hill is having? Yeah, I'd want Kinsler if I was trying to win, but you gotta give Hill the nod over him.

Looks like the All Star teams came out.

AL Starters

C - Joe Mauer, MIN
1B - Mark Teixeira, NYY
2B - Dustin Pedroia, BOS
SS - Derek Jeter, NYY
3B - Evan Longoria, TB
OF - Jason Bay, BOS
OF - Ichiro Suzuki, SEA
OF - Josh Hamilton, TEX

Pitchers

Andrew Bailey, OAK
Josh Beckett, BOS
Mark Buehrle, CWS
Brian Fuentes, LAA
Zack Greinke, KC
Roy Halladay, TOR
Felix Hernandez, SEA
Edwin Jackson, DET
Joe Nathan, MIN
Jonathan Papelbon, BOS
Mariano Rivera, NYY
Justin Verlander, DET
Tim Wakefield, BOS

Reserves

C - Victor Martinez, CLE
1B - Justin Morneau, MIN
1B - Kevin Youkilis, BOS
2B - Aaron Hill, TOR
SS - Jason Bartlett, TB
3B - Michael Young, TEX
OF - Carl Crawford, TB
OF - Curtis Granderson, DET
OF - Torii Hunter, LAA
OF - Adam Jones, BAL
OF - Ben Zobrist, TB

Final Man Voting:

OF - Adam Lind - Blue Jays - .309, 48 R, 17 HR, 50 RBI, 1 SB
2B - Ian Kinsler - Rangers - .256, 57 R, 19 HR, 51 RBI, 16 SB
3B - Chone Figgins - Angels - .316, 60 R, 1 HR, 25 RBI, 24 SB
1B - Carlos Pena - Rays - .233, 58 R, 23 HR, 55 RBI, 1 SB
3B - Brandon Inge - Tigers - .269, 47 R, 18 HR, 52 RBI, 2 SB

Morneau, Bartlett, Hill, and one of Hunter/Jones/Crawford should all be starters. I don't really see how you take Granderson over somebody like Adam Lind. But he plays in Toronto.

The final man looks like they're just about in order of who should go. I don't think you can take Pena when he's hitting so bad, and Inge just.. it's Brandon Inge, he sucks. The others would be fine though.

NL in a second.

And of course Bartlett should be starting over old ass Derek Jeter, but American Idol says no dice.

Starters

C - Yadier Molina, STL
1B - Albert Pujols, STL
2B - Chase Utley, PHI
SS - Hanley Ramirez, FLA
3B - David Wright, NYM
OF - Carlos Beltran, NYM
OF - Ryan Braun, MIL
OF - Raul Ibanez, PHI

Pitchers

Heath Bell, SD
Chad Billingsley, LAD
Jonathan Broxton, LAD
Matt Cain, SF
Francisco Cordero, CIN
Ryan Franklin, STL
Dan Haren, ARI
Josh Johnson, FLA
Ted Lilly, CHC
Tim Lincecum, SF
Jason Marquis, COL
Francisco Rodriguez, NYM
Johan Santana, NYM

Reserves

C - Brian McCann, ATL
1B - Prince Fielder, MIL
1B - Adrian Gonzalez, SD
1B - Ryan Howard, PHI
2B - Orlando Hudson, LAD
2B - Freddy Sanchez, PIT
SS - Miguel Tejada, HOU
3B - Ryan Zimmerman, WSH
OF - Brad Hawpe, COL
OF - Hunter Pence, HOU
OF - Justin Upton, ARI

Final Man Voting:

SS - Christian Guzman - Nationals - .316, 40 R, 3 HR, 21 RBI, 1 SB
OF - Matt Kemp - Dodgers - .303, 43 R, 10 HR, 44 RBI, 19 SB
3B - Mark Reynolds - Diamondbacks - .269, 52 R, 23 HR, 58 RBI, 13 SB
3B - Pablo Sandoval - Giants - .333, 37 R, 12 HR, 44 RBI, 3 SB
OF - Shane Victorino - Phillies - .304, 55 R, 5 HR, 35 RBI, 13 SB

The NL lineup is pretty good based on numbers and who should be starting except McCann, there's no way he shouldn't be over Yadier. But Yadier would be the other C, and it's in STL, so whatever. I can't believe Jason Marquis is going to an AS game. And if Beltran and Ibanez are still out, the only other CF is Pence, so I guess you better hope Victorino wins the final man vote.

I think the final vote should probably go to Kemp though, but I really thought Sandoval would be in by the coaches pick, but the "one from each team must go" rule kinda put Zimmerman ahead of him.
