look, your boyfriend broke up with you because, as you've mentioned previously, he didn't like the burlesque thing and you kept doing it. who knows how he felt about the prescription drug abuse. maybe he didn't care or did care and you blew him off and insisted you didn't have a problem.

bottom line, he doesn't care about your photoshoot next week with some worldwide known photographer, because he doesn't agree with your line i work, which i assume you didn't do when you started dating him.

he broke up with you because you're not the same person (quite literally) you were when you started dating. as for the weight thing, he cited your weight as a reason for it because he wanted to hurt you. and clearly, it worked.

i can only assume that with his not supporting your burlesque career, and you continuing to do it as well as you changing your name... he probably started to feel like you didn't give a shit about him anymore and decided to get out of the relationship.

And the stripper pole is now sitting in a box in my closet, to be removed at the next bachelorette party. I had to stop doing pole workouts because my triathlon training is getting really intense and the pole doesn't really prepare me for a triathlon.

ALSO, GGMon, while finding a husband is a priority for many, it's not my goal in life. Sure, I'd love to meet my soul mate, but bagging a husband just so I can have the ideal 2.5 kids and white picket fence is not my goal. If I never get married, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Life's pretty good to me.

am I the only one that thinks weight gain is an acceptable reason to break up with someone?
