Still not sure I understand the benefit of kicking Obama out, even for the far-right loons. You undermine the legitimacy of elections and the presidency, you get Joe Biden as President, and you virtually assure a constitutional amendment to make foreign-born citizens eligible to be POTUS.

Unless these same morons have a brilliant plan to disqualify Biden (He was actually born in a German insane asylum!) and also desperately want notoriousl moderate Arnold Schwarzeneger to eventually rise to power, I just don't get it.

Apparently joining the cast of "Dancing With the Stars" didn't do quite enough damage to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's dignity. Now he's gone Birther, too.

Another loss for the 'birthers,' this is concerning one of the soldiers refusing to deploy--

Quote :
"U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land delivered a stinging rebuke to unofficial Birther leader Orly Taitz in a tour de force order throwing out yet another of Taitz's lawsuits today. And he warned Taitz that she could face sanctions if she submits any "similarly frivolous" (read: birther-motivated) filing."

From the ruling:

Quote :
"First, Plaintiff's challenge to her deployment order is frivolous. She has presented no credible evidence and has made no reliable factual allegations to support her unsubstantiated, conclusory allegations and conjecture that President Obama is ineligible to serve as President of the United States. Instead, she uses her Complaint as a platform for spouting political rhetoric, such as her claims that the President is "an illegal usurper, an unlawful pretender, [and] an unqualified imposter."

Quote :
"Thus, Plaintiff's counsel, who champions herself as a defender of liberty and freedom, seeks to use the power of the judiciary to compel a citizen, albeit the President of the United States, to "prove his innocence" to "charges" that are based upon conjecture and speculation. Any middle school civics student would readily recognize the irony of abandoning fundamental principles upon which our Country was founded in order to purportedly "protect and preserve" those very principles."

you'd think. but many of the people who ran the federal government the last eight years accomplished this very feat.

a bit lame. demanding that the president prove his citizenship is not the same as demanding that he prove his innocence.

methinks this judge, though, based on the wording issued, was an Obama supporter. seems like a highly un-judicial opinion here with that last statement.

Dude, this would've been an ok time to recover a shred or two of your dignity.

No one would've called you out for backtracking at this point.

I'm just saying, it doesn't sound very professional. but hey, just because I play devil's advocate and point out certain things makes me a birther, right? YOU PEOPLE sure do like to jump to conclusions

Treason seems a bit uncalled for here. By a long shot.
