Same people that were piseed about the robot committing suicide during the superbowl commercial last year

Some people just want to be pissy about everything

I think enough people are watching the show for them to continue it another season

[Edited on November 15, 2009 at 5:20 PM. Reason : that is their most watched show Thursday nights btw]

Haha I thought tonights episode was pretty good,

RECYCLOPS!

I had a strange feeling that the board meeting wasn't going to be very pleasant, and Michael as usual delivered epic awkwardness.

Outside of Recyclops, it was an overall weak episode.

while i think this season has been really good

it is strange to see jim get on ryan for goofing off like he used to

i guess it is kind of believable since he is married now and has a kid on the way

i see me becoming caught up with work and boring when that happens

It never seemed like Jim was straight up refusing to do work like Ryan was doing though.

yea still bothered me though

i go back and watch older episodes and i really don't see much of a difference except no andy which is bad

this show has been pretty consistent through the years in my opinion

some bad episodes here and there but usually entertaining

it hasn't dove off a cliff like most shows

Jim was never acting like Ryan was. Ryan wasn't "goofing off," he was just straight up refusing to do work. If I remember correctly, Jim was painted as a good worker and one of the top/the top salesmen. Sure they show/showed him joking around, but he wasn't always trying to get out of work or anything.

I'm sure it's already been said, but...

It would be fantastic if Dunder Mifflin went bankrupt and the show ended.

^^ I watch the show because I like it.

I think bankruptcy of DMI would be a good way to end a business documentary.

I don't really think it was as much that Ryan was not getting his work done, as much as it was, the fact that he was blatantly undermining Jim's authority, telling people in the office he was not really a manager.

But yeah, there are more mediocre episodes than awesome ones. But not every season can be as epic as season 2.

This episode was horrible.

The only alright part of it was Dwight and Ryan teaming up. I thought the rest was depressing

Dwight doing those voices was hilarious.

but.... W T H was with the Scott's Tots story? That was one of the most depressing things ever on TV.... I kept waiting for something good to happen, or maybe an anonymous donor to come in and save Michael's ass, but as it happened.... that was sad and horrible, and can't be laughed off like 95% of Michael's other shenanigans as simple bad judgement or a misguided attempt to do good.

---

and what are you talking about "dwight and ryan". I didn't even see Ryan in this episode
n/m, just saw the postlude. was recorded along with 30 Rock

I had trouble watching this episode as well. The only thing that kept me going was the memory of Stanley's reaction to the whole thing.

Michael could have made it so much worse, but he came out and apologized and didn't try to sugar-coat it too much. I think it would have been funny if he had tried to leave without admitting he couldn't pay.

i liked the scott's tots aspect. it showed a lot about michael. "i thought i'd be a millionaire by 30 and then by 40, but i had less money at 40 than at 30 so....maybe by 50?" hes just a struggling guy getting screwed but would have really helped those kids if he could have.

plus something good did happen, he inspired those kids to stay in school and push when they otherwise wouldn't have. michael also paid for the books of that one kid, which is pretty generous.

Jim and Pam get into a car accident, Pam loses the child and adopts one of Meredith's kids. They both move to New York and get a dog named Murray.

That is how I want them to leave the show.

Don't know how I feel about this. It's just a recap episode with almost entirely footage from previous episodes. It's funny but I don't know what they were thinking.
