Some of you in this thread might enjoy Marley Carroll's music as it is similar to some of the stuff being posted. He is a local Asheville musician and native Charlottean and will be playing a show in Charlotte this Thursday with his band, collectively called The Melanaster Band. You can go to http://marleycarroll.com/blog/downloads scroll down and listen to his debut album 'Melanaster'. He played every instrument on the album, as well as did all the production himself. Good friend of mine, and is an amazing musician. He also has some remix-type EPs on the site as he is an accomplished turntablist as well.
