so they are gone, were gone in the first minute from what I can tell, they are doing this all day, and apparently every thursday. The next one is at 1pm PDT, which is 4pm EST.

Anyone actually playing this? I know like 20 people with keys and only about 4 of them actually play on any kind of regular basis.

I have 2 ranked 2v2 teams, one is rank 12 in silver and the other is rank 81 in platinum. The platinum partner I've only played 11 games with (7-4) and we play super cheap.

The silver team is with SandSanta and we've played a lot of games (29-28). Most of our losses are from teams in higher leagues. I play Zerg and SandSanta plays Terran.

Anyone else actually playing some ranked games?

Got my fingers crossed that my friend can give me a friend invite! Hopefully after finals though so I don't slack off. He started and went up to gold in a day. Glad to see him doing so well!

For what its worth another friend of mine just randomly got accepted into the beta. The downside is that you don't get a key that you can use to attach it to an account -- instead its preattached to your battle.net account, you log into account management and download it. In this case my buddy hates starcraft 2 (probably because it would interfere with his WoW time... lol) and he probably wont even bother trying it out

The only actual *keys* that people are getting come from these facebook contests, or the invite a friend emails that are making their way to current beta testers sporadically.

If any of you know of a way to move the attached SC2 beta to another account, I'd be more than happy to transfer you my two SC2 beta accounts. As it is now though, my diablo 2, warcraft 3, and wow accounts are attached to the same accounts and I wouldn't just give those away.

I did the Gamestop thing today. Preordered and got beta key. Logged on tonight for the first time.

Blizz is having some serious server malfunctions. It took about 50 attempts to login before it let me in. I was a little annoyed by the inherent lag of bnet and menus and stuff. I hope the next patch fixes it, because as it is I really don't want to deal with logging in and trying to play. My first game (2v2) was cool, but my ally dropped. I held on but got out-macroed. Still Fun!

Just fyi if you're playing your first couple games yesterday and today, they've recently had a bug where just about everybody's accounts are getting wiped and being sent back to placement matches; a giant patch should be coming out today or tomorrow though, that should fix it and include lots of new content as well.

No, you have to go out and pre-order and get yourself an instant beta key.
