We need to at least 2-1, but based on what I read on Pack Pride if you lose your first game you are virtually eliminated from any hope of playing in the championship game on Sunday.

We increased our RPI with the way we finished the season and if we are able to get by Clemson we should have a very legit shot at getting one of the 64 slots in the NCAA tourney, even if we dont win the ACC tourney.

I wish I was still hanging around the Myrtle Beach area, CCU was kind of like a lower tier team I would always cheer for since I used to live in the neighborhood next to the university. Would love to be there for that and talk shit to all those Chants.

Yea I think all the teams who made the ACC tournament should have received an invitation to the NCAA baseball tournament, i understand Carolina's high RPI, but if they dont even make the tourney and BC does...what good is having an ACC Baseball tournament if the teams that fought to make it get shafted when the invites come out??


With that being said, I feel good about the draw we received for our group of four, if we can get consistent solid pitching we can play against anyone, if our pitchers dont step up then we will be done quickly. Good luck Pack!

Just like this past weekend in Greensboro, the Wolfpack should have a strong fan base at the park, since the park is less than three hours from Raleigh and most points in eastern North Carolina. Also, the 45th annual Wolfpack Jamboree, the annual gathering of men's head coaches and members of the Wolfpack Club, is slated for the Legends Club in Myrtle Beach this weekend.

I live only 2 hours from Myrtle Beach, but I'm heading to Savannah this Thursday for business and then staying through the weekend for personal reasons so I cannot make it. Sucks because this would have worked out very well if it was a different weekend.

Hope the Pack can get enough pitching to make it to the Super Regionals.

Also Carolina always gets preferential treatment in everything. Just like how they somehow got to host a game in the NIT this past year when they deserved at best to be on the road if not out of the NIT all together.

Agreed. 3 different situations during game with runner on 1st and no outs 8th or 9th hitter up and only once did we try to bunt him over. That led to a throwing error and runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Don't really understand the logic. And buchannon was left out there a little long. He was getting shelled.

In a coach's 13th year we should simply not be this bad on defense and pitching. I've heard our pitching recruits are supposed to be pretty good, but with Holliday's pedigree I didn't expect us to be so poor in terms of a pitching staff for the last 2 years. With the way the regionals are set up it is really tough to win without solid pitching.

its not our starting pitching thats bad...its the bullpen. it SUCKS.

and yes, we suck on defense as well...we've done some really boneheaded and downright fundamental errors.

we dont play smallball thanks to Avent...he doesnt even substitute at the right time.

I wish we'd just go ahead and get rid of him.
