That burger pic from Chucks look dry and small.
I prefer the humongous Breakfast Burger I had from Draft last night.

I like Draft burgers, though they're a little overpriced

isn't krazedgirl the same person that failed all over themselves in the Beasley's thread

[Edited on July 3, 2012 at 3:37 PM. Reason : V you also said that the Diner and Dickeys were good, down to earth restaurants. lol.]

i guess her "best" is related to price ("value") whereas many of us think of taste. although i'd probably pay a lot more for a good burger than her and still consider it a good deal.

I wish more people would fry okra full/in halves. Perfect finger food that way.

funny how many hypocrits are in this thread acting allmighty cuz they claim they enjoy paying full price at overrated places when in fact they can't wait to line up at MoJoe's for half-priced burger

my rankings are based on taste not value....i would gladly pay full price at Draft b/c they have the best burgers I've had in town SO FAR.

i look forward to trying Chucks and giving my unbiased opinion

i finally tried Beasleys, their pot pie is heavenly (best I've had), their fried chicken is not that spectacular for the prices they charge, and their meatloaf tastes like a burger patty

and where/what is PR?

ah yes, i love their pimiento mac and cheese, one of the best kinds of mac and cheese i've had

but out of my party of 20, half of which ordered the fried chicken, none of us thought it was anything spectacular for the price they were charging......def not a place we would frequent just for their fried chicken

So it's the best in town (so far), but even considering that you think they're overpriced at $10 for a 10 ounce burger? Or is it just pricey, but totally worth it?

i never said that, no idea where you're getting that from....i always get the breakfast burger at Draft, at $15, it's a big pricey but i'd still pay for it since it is fully loaded (enough for 2 meals) and local ingredients

at $10, hell i'd go to Draft every week then

I'll take that as the latter

$10 is just plain burger...not breakfast, but I'll have to try that one. Looks amazing.

really, try the breakfast burger, you won't regret it....the sausage patty they put in it is enough for a meal....then add the beef patty, ham, bacon, egg, and more and it's the breakfast of champions

i've also tried their Wolfpack and Mountaineer and both were amazing too

I got a Wolfpack burger at Draft for half price and thought it was mediocre...overcooked beef and the toppings were bland. Not to mention the sides were obviously straight out of a freezer bag and into a fryer.

Chucks is so damn good. I got a lil and I was so pissed for not getting the full size bc it was so damn good. Squash casserole on my burger? Fucking yes. *drool*

I also like mo joe's, PR, the times and five guys.

This kind of feels like an interrogation.

I ordered it medium rare and it came out dry and grey.

I had fries and I tried some tots and onion rings that my friends ordered.

I don't necessarily have a problem with frozen potato sides at restaurants, but if you are paying ~$15 for a burger I expect better.

All you burger connoisseurs on a budget need to check out the special at Fleming's, if you go before 7PM you can get a burger with cheese and bacon on a buttered brioche for $6 with unlimited house-made chips and 2 onion rings. Probably not the best burger you will ever eat in your life, but it's on a different level than Draft.

Draft is good, but not life altering.

There's more to a good burger than just dumping so much crap on it that you can't fit it in your mouth or even figure out where all the flavor is coming from. In my opinion if you can make a flawless simple cheeseburger then anything else more or less has to be good.

whatever happened to a simple burger with mustard on it

now we gotta put a 5 course meal on top of a burger to get ranked in the top 5?

Tke-Teg and others who like a simple burger, try The Big House at Chuck's. I had one today for lunch. It's gooey aged cheddar, carmelized shallots, and a nice djion. Very simple, very good. I have yet to dislike a variant from Chuck's. I still love the Bradley Time... blue cheese, red onions, and beets? Oh god yes.

Abbey Road and Woodys both have awesome burgers. But they're both in Cary so maybe it's irrelevant here.

They're also far behind Chucks, or even Five Guys for that matter, making them further irrelevant.

Five Guys' burgers are NOT better than Woody's...unless you are one of those weirdos that prefers dry burgers to juicy ones.

You're out of your mind if you think

a) Five Guy burgers are dry
b) Wendy's > Five Guys
