I need to find a new thermos. Something's happened to mine that makes my coffee taste like shit recently.

Oh...and that's another thing you have to clean up when you're using things other than a Keurig...a thermos.

Eh...I'm probably more thorough than I should be cleaning my thermos and coffee carafe. Most people I know just rinse it out. I'm a soap and scrub kind of guy.

you don't have to explain it to me. i use a press or pour over when i'm at home.

^try rinsing it out with some vinegar or baking soda and letting it air dry completely.

Gonna reread this...looking for k cup recommendations

For columbian have cafe bustelo, members mark, green mountain, and mccafe

Also have mccafe premium roast, star bucks pikes peak and house blend

Nothing really blowing me away. Members mark what i normally drink, feel like the other brands pretty much taste like that

[Edited on December 12, 2024 at 7:42 AM. Reason : ^^not that theres anything wrong with soap and scrubbing]

I just got a cuisinart coffee maker that does both keurig and nespresso pods, as well as a full pot. Got reusable pods for each. It's pretty tits.

I have the hamilton beach flexbrew advanced 49965f, coming from 49954. Love the minimal counter space

Dump your Keurig for one of these.

Where do you rinse it out to? I have had best success rinsing into a napkin over the drain then tossing the napkin in the trash.

I have young kids so I also have to fight them grabbing the press lot or filter and running away. Definitely takes longer if you account for grinding time, however you don't get micro plastics in your nuts.

I don’t fancy myself a coffee snob by any means, but I have yet to find a k-cup that tastes anywhere near as good as regular brewed or poured over coffee.

I just couldn't get past the waste of it, and eventually got a reusable cup (but yeah, it didn't taste as good to me either)

^ we've had the Vertuo a while and I never used it. My wife got it because of the kid stress and it was easier than the French press. Started drinking it finally about six months ago and it's definitely not bad.
