the last time these 2 teams met ECU was favored and ranked... lost in OT in a game they should have won. I like ECU's roll as the underdog in this one. defense is young and pretty bad but did a much better team against a decent Southern Miss team.

We just hung 44 on USM's defense, which is as good if not better than State's D.

and btw, its not a rivalry. Its just an instate game that we wanna win since we have to listen your mouths every season.

NCSU gives up 22.2 ppg (52nd)

I know ECU will be ready to "get up" for this game and all, but I don't expect this one to be close. On a talent level, we're better than them. We're packing heat on offense and they've been winning by the seat of their pants in shootouts. They're not going to get the better of us if it came down to that.

I expect us to get burned by a few big plays, but I also expect us to force several turnovers.

In what fucking universe do you live? They held some of the worst offenses in D1 football to under 20 points and I'm supposed to be impressed? Go look up the scoring offense stats for Kansas, Louisiana Tech and Marshall, they're all scoring less than 20 points a game. Do I even need to bring up the fact that our schedule has been significantly more difficult than Southern Miss'?

iirc, the student governments of NCSU and ECU tried to turn this into a real rivalry during that stretch where we played them a few years in a row.

They got a pork barrel and put red and purple tags on the side with the score of every game we've ever played against them to be used as a hand-off trophy. It was sitting in the SG office for a year, but not sure what happened to it. Anyone know if they are still trying to make that a thing?

East Carolina Community College will be fired up because this is their super bowl. However, I think we will pull out the W. The ECCC offense is somewhat better than BC but the defense isn't nearly as good.

We're going to run the shit out of the ball. My predictions:
Moooooooooooooooooose!! has a phenominal game
Quarterback demi-god Russell Wilson throws for 250 yards and 2 TDS
Glennon comes in as the game is well in hand and tacks on another 75 yards through the air
We get burnt on blown coverages twice (just like we have every effin' game) for two TDs

\/sorry, should've mentioned that I only think Russell will be limited stat wise b/c we'll run the ball so much and give Glennon some time. I'd personally LOVE to see him throw for 350+ and 3TDs, and I think he certainly could against ECU if they don't pull up on the reins.
