Someone give me a rundown of how this trade exception with Cleveland works with regards to Gerald Wallace.

As far as I can tell, we dump the rest of his 2 year 22 mill deal and get NOTHING back. Is this correct?

That wouldn't be a terrible deal for us. Wallace is kind of redundant on this team with Jackson, Diaw, Thomas, etc. Of course, you would rather trade Diaw, but beggars can't be choosers.

The real problem would be if we cave to their demands and throw in a first round pick on top. We already owe Chicago our 2012 first rounder for the Tyrus Thomas trade...we can't afford to go Marty Hurney on their ass and trade away yet another first round pick.
