Yeah, I agree I was watching the game with friends of of mine, and every time the cameras viewed in on the NCSU crowd, I was bragging at first like hell yeah look how many fans we have in Kenan stadium, and then when the cameras kept focusing in on the hick in the overalls with no shirt on I was like...really..REALLY??
Thank you for adding to State's image of moo-U, that the rest of us State fans try to depict otherwise. I was hoping someone would get like a large black trash bag and put it on you everytime the video camera zoomed in on you 11/23/2010 11:53:26 AM |

I fucking embrace Moo-U. In my opinion this is one name calling situation that has started to backfire. I think everyone else should get the fuck over it and embrace it as well. Be fucking proud when are NC's land grand institution, and part of what we do is to promote and reinvent our states agriculture.
If it keep sticking, and we starting winning ~8 games every single season, we need to do a Moo-out in the student section. Fucking overalls with NCSU t-shirt and straw hats. Seeing multiple sections of people dressed like this on National TV would be epic. It would also be a clear fuck you to UNC, and they really couldn't throw it in our faces anymore.
tl;dr = man the fuck up, embrace moo-u

I would much rather the camera show a guy in overalls than the frat guys that show up to our games in a button-up shirt and a bow-tie. Swap out the red bow-tie for a light blue one and you have a UNC fan.

For example. Do the UNC team and the UNC fanbase convey the same image? No. The team convey's classless thugs and the fanbase convey wine and cheese fairies.

I don't dislike Moo-u. I just don't like how it pigeonholes the University. NCSU offers much more than agriculture

actually i took the overalls bit as genius. its a slap in the face to not only UNC but their elitist bullshit namecalling. Even better that it was @ kenan.
the only thing that would have been more epic is if you drove up in a Beverly Hillbillies style truck/wagon and they allowed you take a fake double-barrel shotgun into the game. 11/23/2010 12:18:40 PM |

i have a fund raising NCSU poster made in limited edition back in 1972 i think its says MOO-U at the bottom in big letters and has the strutting wolf but instead of the wolf's head, there is a bull's head. its pretty awesome.

First, I have never heard anyone refer to Greensboro as g-vegas, and second, Greensboro isn't exactly a podunk town. I don't think you can have a podunk town with 250K+ population.
As to the game--I think a lot will hinge on how Maryland responds to the loss to FSU. On the one hand, they did lose a physical game at home with a lot on the line, no longer have a shot at the championship game, and may come out flat and tire early. On the other hand, since all they have left to play for is bragging rights, they could throw caution to the wind and play with abandon, which could make for an interesting matchup against conservative TOB/Bible football. They played quite well at times against FSU and they execute the short passing game quite well, which has given us fits in the past. Their defense looked shaky, on the other hand, particularly against the run. Washington/Moose will need a big game and the O-line has to be solid. Nate, Audie, and Manning will be in O'Brien's face all day and should be able to put him on the ground and force bad throws. The thing that worries me most is turnover margin though--they've been +bunches in their wins and I think are still at +13 on the year. State has to hold onto the ball and avoid the strip/punch out, and Russell needs to be on point both with his arm and with his legs.

I have no problem whatsoever about being called Moo-U. I enjoy "Old McDonald" at the end of games, howling cow ice cream (from the cows that people like to make fun of), our dominant bass fishing team, the occasional farm equipment in the brickyard, and our involvement in the agriculture industry.
I agree completely about preferring to see people in overalls/straw hats over those in suits and bow-ties.
