Yeah I have NCAA Football 2002 and that was how CF was portrayed. It was pretty badass, but I still kept thinking to myself, "wth this isn't what CF looks like". Two massive towers and a horseshoe shape. The design was one of the originals when they were looking to expand CF. EA then used another design that still didn't come to fruition, but was closer to the way CF ended up.

Defense pretty much always owns the spring scrimmages. This is nothing shocking. Actually it is a little shocking how well Mustafa ran because we generally average like 2 ypc in the Spring.

^ me too. While I agree FSU is overrated nationally, they will be tough nonetheless. Their ACC schedule is arguably a little easier than ours, with 2 of their 4 road games being at Duke and Wake. We both somehow avoid Va. Tech in the same season.

FSU has a pretty easy conference schedule...it is going to be tough to get past them to get to the acc championship game, especially with everyone calling us to lose when we go to tallahassee. Their toughest acc games aside from both us and MD at home will be at Clemson and at Boston College

I can see people being worried because it's likely fueling existing fears. Our offense was very inconsistent last season and now we have less to work with... or at the very least an unknown to work with.

Defense was much better last season but again defensive talent is gone and Archer is still at the helm. I hope we don't go back to how we were when Irving was out. The give 'em 7 or 8 yards per down defense sucked.

That said, yeah you can't predict gloom and doom from a scrimmage. Just trying to counter balance some of those wild optimism posts that have us coasting to the conference championship game.

True, but remember that Tenuta is still on staff, too. So I expect to see the same of what we saw last year: a disrupting pass rush and consistent D-line. Irving is the only player we have to replace in the back seven; everyone else returns.

Based on this, a move to MLB may be better for him. The OLB's have to make more open field tackles, while the MLB generally cleans up what slips through the D-line. Hopefully he'll have more pass-rush opportunities playing in the middle as well.
