Better teams will back door the cunts off of us though if we overplay it too much....which has happened a lot this year. This team would be better off staying home and staying between their man and the basket so we can put a body on someone for the rebounds. I think we actually force a fair number of tipped balls, especially from the guard positions on defense, we just don't come up with a lot for some reason. Zo in particular will deflect 2 or more passes a game that we don't come up with, either from bad luck or another player not being ready for it. They usually lead directly to a dunk for the other team. NC State shit at its finest.

This is because nobody on our team plays like they want the ball. The other team will be diving for the same loose ball that we're bending over to get. I don't remember the last time I saw one of our players go to the ground to fight for a 50/50 ball. It's infuriating and I can't for the life of me figure out why our guys are so lethargic in those situations. Sure, Sid should get on their case for not giving 100%, but at some point, pride in what you're doing has to come into play, and you have to want it more than the other guy.

I do wish we'd go after loose balls recklessly like you see some teams doing. Mainly though, I'd just like to see CJL go after some 50/50 balls period.

As far my previous comment though...I have seen Brown on several occasions deflect passes right to wide open shooters, and on more than one occasion he has deflected a ball, gone after it fairly when its 50/50, and been called for a horse shit foul.


Not excusing other players from not going to the ground and playing aggressive, but fuck if we're not snake bitten sometimes.
