Jurrjens sent to Gwinnett. Looks like we're going with a 4-man rotation until we activate Huddy beginning of next week.

Hopefully JJ can figure out what the hell he is doing wrong. Outside of a few hot stretchs in his career, he's never been much more than a #3 or #4. Still he is important as the Braves try to meld the young pitchers into the rotation over the next couple years.

I still don't understand why the Braves are not giving Medlen a chance at the rotation. Maybe his arm strength or stamina is not there?

Gotta give credit to Ernie for calling JJ's demise way back in middle of last year.

You apparently have not seen any games in which Chad Durbin or Livan have pitched. EOF has not pitched particular well yet either (he's allowed a base runner in every game he's pitched this season).

Overall the Braves pen is very solid though thanks to Kimbrel, Venters, Medlen, and EOF assuming he gets back in a groove. Martinez has been decent this year as well, but he'll probably kill himself soon with all his drunk driving.

Wooooo what clutch hitting in the 9th tonight to win it, hugeee road trip going 5-2 against the d-backs and dodgers. I love the way this team has been playing since the 0-4 to start the season. Now if we can just bring the nationals back down to earth

Washington is a solid team, but they are playing over their heads. They'll come back down to earth. The NL East is a beast this year especially if the Mets hang around that .500 mark.

4 game series starting tonight against the Bucs. It is amazing that the Pirates are only 8-10 despite the solid SP they have received. Burnett has only had what 1-2 starts so I guess that skews it some, but look at the ERAs:

Probable starting pitchers:

Friday: Braves RH Tommy Hanson (2-2, 3.38 ERA) vs. RH A.J. Burnett (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

Saturday: Braves RH Randall Delgado (2-1, 5.74) vs. LH Erik Bedard (0-4, 2.63)

Sunday: Braves RH Tim Hudson (17-9, 2.83 in 2011) vs. RH Kevin Correia (1-0, 2.00)

Monday: Braves LH Mike Minor (2-1, 3.42) vs. RH James McDonald (0-1, 2.78)

I don't know if I should be happy or sad that Juan Francisco shares the team lead in Home Runs...

^ I really don't give a crap as long as they keep winning. The Braves don't have much power anyway except for Uggla and he is a notoriously slow starter.

Hudson did not look good last night, but he fought out of a lot of jams and got the W. Braves finally caught the Nats too.

I like listening to Don Sutton making fun of people that say FFF doesn't have power.

Braves played without Heyward and Chipper again last night. The lineup just sucks w/o Chipper. Chipper and Heyward have the pain tolerance of a newborn.
