Looks like Gottfried listened to some TWWers and told Purvis that he should practice free-throws

Except for the part where Rodney yammed it over two dudes and Lawson was the only guy on that side of the court.

ha

maybe he should transfer to ASU so he could get the ball in transition on a 1-on-0 break, and get coached to stop and run the princeton offense

don't get it Twisted

I want Rodney to stay and to be successful. It's pretty clear that he'll go the Harrow route and he'll be wearing blue in 2015

I also would've accepted having to hire a kid's high school coach to get a decent recruit to play in your shitty ass system.

ncstatetke really loves a dude that brainwashed us into thinking mediocrity was our ceiling because of UNC and Duke down the road.

must have deleted it then

can't blame him for tweeting it or deleting it

it was a disappointing season, but not all freshmen can win the title like Anthony Davis, etc

as long as he doesn't read TWW, he should be fine

Purvis is a good kid. He'll work hard, and he's going to be the player that everyone is expecting. I also see him being our on floor leader in the coming years. That will come after he produces consistently.

^^ this. he has the talent, his game just wasnt ready to translate immediately to NCAA level in year one like most had thought.

but look at olivier hanlon, he got 34+ mins/game all year and was downright nasty at the end of the season. Like Lewis, maybe Purvis isnt great coming off the bench - just needs to be playing more to get into his rhythm

He had plenty of opportunity to do that during the first 2/3 of the year.

He was a dominant scorer in high school because he was so much more athletic than everyone else. He's still got the edge athletically, but the gap has narrowed and there is a lot more length he has to contend with. His game will adjust and he will be fine. He also needs to improve his ball-handling and his shot.

^^Hanlan is more of a basketball player than Purvis. Purvis is more of an athlete than Hanlan. I would take Hanlan over Purvis right now, but thats just me. Hanlan can do alot more things on the basketball court than Purvis can. Hopefully Purvis wants to be a better basketball player so much that he practices for it night in and night out.

Honestly, I feel bad that he's down on himself, but I kinda like seeing this. Let's me know he's not complacent.

If he improves his handle, gets a mid-range floater, and works his ass off on FTs, he can be a dynamite scorer next year.

I think a reasonable expectation for him next year would be to get better at controlling himself on the drive to the basket and hitting a better percentage of his FT's. If he improved his mid range that's an added bonus. Looking forward to seeing him, Lewis and Warren get more consistent focus on being a larger part of the offensive gameplan.

He already has a mid-range floater, it was one of his go-to moves and he's pretty good at it.
