Living in the Seattle-Tacoma area, I was listening to the radio today and alot of talk was about RW.
All the guys talking were crediting Wisconsin for his success and it made me want to scream (and a few times I did in the car).
One guy on the radio finally brought up that he was at NC State for three years before he went to Wisconsin, couldn't figure out why he transferred, and came up with some weak reason for it.
It made me mad at the ignorance, but I'm glad he's getting some cred. 8/25/2012 2:30:21 AM |

he was here 4 years.
Also we need to tell ESPN to update their college information: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/14881/russell-wilson

LOVE this write up on rotoworld.com
Quote : | "Russell Wilson completed 13-of-19 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns and rushed twice for 58 yards in Friday night's preseason start against Kansas City.
Wilson led an all-out assault on Kansas City's first-team defense, engineering six scores (three FGs, three TDs) on his first six drives. He wound up playing seven possessions, the seventh ending on a 51-yard missed field goal. Wilson continued his August magic and has almost certainly won Seattle's starting job over Matt Flynn, who didn't dress for the game due to a sore elbow. Through three preseason games, Wilson is 35-of-52 (67.3 percent) for 464 yards (8.92 YPA), five touchdowns, and one interception. He's rushed 10 times for 150 yards and a sixth score. Wilson certainly has high-upside QB2 potential for the regular season. If you bet against the guy, chances are you're going to lose." |

Love that he is tearing it up and proving all the haters such as TOB wrong.
This is also yet another example of how unscientific coaches and scouts are in evaluating talent. Instead of looking at results, they look at orthogonal things such as height and rely on really poor evidence and old wives tales to guide their decisions.
Glennon had far more balls batted down last year than Wilson. Height is meaningless. Rivers doesn't have many balls batted down with his low release, either. Just look at results.
Great QBs are great because they learned to overcome whatever limits they might have had, and they produce great results. The result is more important than the process. Loser coaches don't believe this. 8/25/2012 7:57:04 AM |

we'd sign one QB every 4 years, no chance of signing one in the middle years unless they wanted to sit on the bench until they were a RS senior 8/26/2012 1:28:57 PM |
