Love it on a 1 year deal. Money really doesnt matter since we needed to spend it anyway.

If it doesnt work out you flip him to someone who needs a scoring winger at the deadline. A team would be willing to eat Semin's salary at the deadline since it would be an expiring contract.

Really low risk, high reward in my opinion. Now hopefully he goes out and scores 40.
