No, not that TDT could become a servicable backup. Several Packpride posters claimed that TDT is better than Painter right now, and that Painter transferred out so that he wouldn't ride the bench behind TDT this season.

TDT was dreadful last year. I'm holding out hope that he improves enough to be able to provide some quality minutes as an upperclassman, but Painter was and is lightyears ahead of him as a player right now.

he is more athletic. i don't know what you were expecting or if you even saw him at the event, but he's definitely improved. i don't expect him to contribute 20+ minutes a game this season, but i don't think he'll be so lost and ineffective out there like he was last year.

TDT was less dreadful last year than Painter was a sophomore. In case you don't remember, here's how that went: deedeedee i can't play defense deedeedee OH SHIT I CAUGHT THE BALL I BETTER SHOOT IT dang i missed.

and of course painter is going to be better than TDT right now. he's a fucking senior. TDT was a freshman who MOVED TO ANOTHER COUNTRY. i have no doubt that TDT can be a more effective player this year than sophomore painter was, mainly because prior to last year painter was god awful.
