The hipsters disagree on something, for the 2nd time ever.

I think the world's about to end.

Whoops.

Outside of the 4th? coming of Jebidiah, that episode sucked, terribly. I can only hope NBC got paid the fuck off to let that dude host...but the failure isn't on him.

there have certainly been worse episodes, but I'd say it was slightly below average

really strong Weekend Update and the Beyonce thing alone were enough to make it an ok show

probably safe to assume that they would have much rather had Emma Stone host

The Beygency was incredible.

Olya was better than Jeb this time. And Jost finally FINALLY got a great connection with the crowd, which is big for him.

Everything else was basically bad (not counting the positively brilliant Bird Bible, which was a rerun).

Gotta think that Wells, Milhiser, and Wheelan are gone for next year. Maybe even Mooney retreats to only writing.

Yeah the Beyonce thing was humorous, especially since the tin foil hatters assert her and Jay are in the Illuminati...I don't know that it made me laugh or anything though.

I think Stanx was kinda funny...if only because one of my wife's good friends works for Spanx so we hear/talk about it all the time.

He's adding very little to the live show and you can be in pretapes without being a cast member (see Jorma and Akiva). It's just a thought.

I was laughing.

The first few reaction/review pieces I saw on it were really negative, and I couldn't help thinking about the point that Jezebel article makes: men do bits like this on a regular basis and no one makes a peep.

Totally laughing. She came out there on her first appearance in an SNL staple with confidence and delivered (!!). And I agree with her response that if it was Chris Rock or Chapelle no one would have said a thing.

And her greeting to Jost. Heh "delectable Caucasian"

Agreed on both, but personally, I was too uncomfortable to laugh.

I don't know what that question means.

Bird Bible is awesome, but it doesn't really count towards the show's overall quality because it was not an original sketch for S39E19.

Another boring musical guest this coming week (Black Keys) before Annie Clark shows up to demolish the season finale.

Bird Bible is easily one of the best things they've done this season

there are at least 5 moments in it that are laugh out loud funny, one of them being the look Mike O'Brien gives the kid after he says, "let's just enjoy it for what it is"

absurdist humor at its best

Thin premise executed predictably. But whatever floats your boat.

Kate McKinnon does a bunch of little things in it, like her voice/cadence and her being spread eagle while sitting

I'd argue the exact opposite. The predictable thing to do would be to oversell it, along the lines of the UnderUnderground Records sketches, since this premise is arguably even more farfetched.

The restraint is what really sets this off, especially when dealing with someone who works the corners as well as McKinnon does.

Theron is hot, not particularly funny. And this cast is one of the worst ever. Without a quality host, it's surprising when an episode ISN'T bad.

The cast isn't bad. The cast is gigantic and has a few people who don't have much to do/get thrown things that aren't particularly funny. 17 people is too many for a show that has 58 minutes of comedy per episode.

They cut a "Mornin' Miami" from this week's show, which is a bummer. The dress version is online, but I wish it was on air. It's always great.

Look at these cast members in the monologue, who are better than any current cast member

[Edited on May 17, 2014 at 11:40 PM. Reason : i mean maybe Kenan is better than Seth, but you get the idea]
