I watched the 1st half and turned it off when it became pretty clear that NCCU was the better team. Half their guys look like they are 28 yrs old. I will say that Central was getting a lot of "tough" shots to fall which is just typical NC State shit for us, but overall our offense was horrible.

The foul trouble was through the whole game. We absolutely cannot have both Warren and Turner in foul trouble at the same time and both had 3 well before half time. This is going to be a long season

Early foul trouble. I think Warren, Turner, Lewis and Anya all had two half-way through the first half. There were 25 fouls in the first half. Warren picked up a third with a while left in the first half (as did their top scorer)

Every basketball program has a bed shitting, dumpster fire, titanic-sinking moment from time to time. Remember a few years ago when UNC lost a November game to Santa Clara? Their bandwagon was ready to shut the Dean Dome down for the rest of the year. If my memory is correct, they went on to have a pretty good rest of the season.

People need to chill the fuck out. Not many teams are going to beat an opponent shooting 91% from the line in the current officiating environment.

Did not see any of the game...the Cinci game is the only one I've watched this year. But I've noticed we've seemed to get into foul trouble very early in games and it definitely caused problems this game down the stretch. I know refs are calling more fouls in general this year...is this just a product of us not adjusting to the new rules? I mean 50% of Central's 82 points came from the line. That's ridiculous. And kudos to Central for making that many FTs too.

Besides the obvious no defense problem the 3 bigs combined to shoot 2-7 with 6 points and only 6 rebounds, 1 block, no assists, 3 turnovers in 49 combined minutes. We are not going to beat anyone worth a damn with no production out of them.

The refs were bad on both sides of the ball. There was a point last night in overtime where we had three people foul out and Central had all five guys on the floor with four fouls. I cant remember ever seeing a team have all five people on the floor with four fouls

I don't think so. It's a product of having a young team of wannabe playmakers who haven't learned (or haven't been taught) that it's not worth trying to make a spectacular (read: stupid) play to pick up fouls, especially for our impact players who we need to keep around. I think three of warren's five fouls were him jumping on the back of some pump faking NCCU player trying to get a block from behind. If he'd just kept his feet and tried to make a solid play instead of a spectacular one, we'd have had him for more of the game (and maybe won).
