Just like last year, TY Hilton is not a good fantasy option unless Reggie Wayne is injured

I'm up by 1 with Luck and Ball, opponent has Hilton

This would be really tense if it wasn't fantasy football

I'm in a league with jaybee and others which puts a lot more weight in defenses. For example, every defense starts with 40 points (as opposed to the yahoo default of 10 points). So, when the Bucs scored two TDs my defensive points went from 52.00 to 22.00.

Gore, RGIII, Dez and Phil Dawson getting 1 damn point screwed me. Otherwise, I'd probably be tied with my opp. with Michael Floyd vs. Golden Tate to go tonite.

My running back situation is dire. I need to make a trade badly but who the hell wants any of Gore/Ridley/WifeBeater? Gonna have to hope the waivers produce a lotto ticket.

So trade all three for a decent starter.

why not?

find someone with horrible backups and go for it.

I have both Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon...thinking of keeping Garcon? With that said, who is a good trade for desean at this point?

They fell to me in the draft in such a way I couldn't pass up taking them both.

^^I'd be bold and cut Rice. I don't think he's gonna end up playing this year (at the very least) after what has transpired today.

Time to pick up Forsett if he isn't already gone in your leagues.

Well my running back position is complete garbage now. I have Stacy and was hoping Rice would have some Kobe esque post rape performance but alas that is no more.

Gates is still the TE1 in San Diego as long as Rivers is the QB and Gates is healthy.

would you drop Mike Evans, Toby Gerhart, Riley Cooper, or Terrance West to pick up Justin Forsett (BAL) for a Flex spot?

Cooper's the only one out of that group I'd drop, I think.

I have an offer to trade D Jax for Fitzgerald. Do I accept?

^I personally think the trade is a wash. I think the redskins avg completed pass was like 2.7 yds or something like that, so maybe go with Fitz and break up the Redskins WR?

ppr league, start 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR/TE flex.

I have no RBS at all (not much was left when it came to my round 3-4 picks).

my RBs are:
Steven Jackson
Bernard Pierce
Trent Richardson
Ahmad Bradshaw
Danny Woodhead

My WR/TE:
Dez Bryant
Demaryius Thomas
Randall Cobb
Andrew Hawkins
Malcolm Floyd
Rob Gronkowski

I have #1 waiver claim, so I can add Forsett, Crowell, or Chris Ivory from waivers.

Is my best bet to try to trade either 1 of Dez, Demaryius, Cobb for a RB? What would be a fair value RB for either of those 3?

I'd try to trade for someone like Leveon Bell...start there and go down the list.

I'd add Forsett first...and try and add Ivory as well if you can.

And yeah, I have a trade in place for Crabtree or K Allen, if neither of those go through I'll add Fitz.

I have RG3. I'm sure he'll score a TD this year at some point. should I pick up either Palmer or Locker in the meantime?

players I could afford to drop are Dwayne Bowe or Bernard Pierce

^ I would almost drop RGIII for Palmer outright. But if you would prefer to hold on to him and can afford it, maybe drop Bowe. Pierce was benched, but you could potentially have a starting RB if he performs. Chiefs missed throwing the ball downfield with Bowe Sunday, but if I remember correctly he didn't perform very well for the first part of the year last year.

I got offered a trade.

Brandon Marshall and Julius Thomas

For

Calvin Johnson and Jordan Reed

I countered with adding Lacey his side and Sankey on mine. I also have Vereen and Stacy. Should I put Stacy instead of Sankey to get Lacey?

I have RGIII as well. I was tempted to dump him outright for Locker. Gonna pick up Locker & (possibly) Palmer tomorrow. Starting with Locker as he has a better matchup this week.

I need a RB like nobody's business. Praying Gordon gets reinstated so that I can make a trade. I'm loaded at WR with AJ/Dez/Floyd(AZ).

ppr league, my roster is like 6 spots up.

I was offered Alshon Jeffery and Ryan Matthews for Dez Bryant and Ahmad Bradshaw. Thoughts?

^Jackson and either Stacy or Jennings (Stacy scares me at little).

Barring a trade, this will be my RB core in a PPR league (yes I know it sucks, I went Dez, Demaryius, Cobb, Gronk with my first 4 picks and regret it immensely).

Pick 2:
Trent Richardson
Ahmad Bradshaw
Steven Jackson
Danny Woodhead
Benard Pierce
Justin Forsett

thoughts?

Ben Tate out for 2-4 weeks. Time to pick up Terrance West (14 carries, 100 yards) or Isaiah Crowell (5 carries, 32 yards, 2 TD)?

^I believe Harbaugh said that Crowell wasn't even in the game plan until Tate got hurt. West looked good, so I picked him up over Crowell in leagues where I could.

Some real advanced scouting from Harbaugh there to know exactly what the Browns gameplan is week in and week out. Wonder if he has any inside info on the Josh Gordon situation

Quote :
"Sun, Sep 7
Coach Mike Pettine confirmed Isaiah Crowell was not in the Week 1 game plan.
Advice: Crowell ended up with five carries for 32 yards and two touchdowns after Ben Tate went down with a knee injury. "It was going to be Tate and West," Pettine said. "To Crowell's credit, he prepared like the starter. He went in there and did his job." The Browns did not update Tate's status following the game, leaving this backfield murky for Week 2. Crowell will be the change-of-pace complement to West again if Tate ends up sitting.

pick my Defense and RB2:

Carolina vs. Detroit
Tampa Bay vs. St. Louis

non-ppr league:
Ryan Mathews vs. Seattle
Reggie Bush @ Carolina

bush

wouldn't go Carolina against one of the best offenses in the league
wouldn't go Matthews against the best defense in the league

well Carolina's defense is one of the best in the league as well. And their strength is in their front 7, where Seattle's strength is in their secondary.

DECISIONS!

^Yeah but Reggie Bush won't do his damage running into the teeth of the defense(front 7), he's going to do his damage in the passing game. I think both options are bad, but can understand why he'd say Bush is the upside play.

Yeah Bush is gonna still get his touches through the air. I'd lean toward Bush...I have both Bush and Mathews in a 0.5 PPR and I'm going with Bush.

Need to pick 1:

Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Joique Bell, Lamar Miller, Danny Woodhead

Since Johnson is questionable at this point, I was going to wait, but Smith plays tonight, so if I want to go with him I have to decide on that now...so the primary question right now I guess is roll with Smith tonight or not

^Sounds like they are just limiting him in practice early in the week to get him enough rest before Sunday. No way I'd think to bench him when taking on that poor Raiders D. If you're really concerned, I'd wait to see if he participated in today's practice and you can have better judgement if you really wanna roll out Smith.

Pick one (PPR):

Justin Hunter vs DAL (my pick)
Victor Cruz vs AZ

Not gonna play Cruz until he shows me something.

Probably way over-thinking this, but I need to pick a WR2 in a standard non-ppr league.

Pick 1:
Larry Fitzgerald @ Giants - (I am concerned that last week wasn't an anomaly and that Fitz really is only the secondary option now)

Michael Crabtree @ Bears - (started him last week and got nothing from him, still a little worried about his calf being 100%)

Markus Wheaton @ Ravens tonight - (I am intrigued with this simply because I can see the Ravens focusing on stopping Brown, and Wheaton getting the targets)

thoughts?
