Hornets currently demolishing the Clippers, 94-59
Yeah, it's preseason, but the Clips are playing all their starters extended minutes, including CP3.
Some notes: Big Al looks less fat this year. Linsanity is striking again. Hawes and Batum are going to be big helps. Kemba still missing everything, but setting up teammates nicely. 10/14/2015 10:13:14 AM |

This is like Lin's home court, so kinda like Hornets' home court.
You can't ignore fans' reaction.

Think about this, if hornets and Lin were beaten to death on the court in shanghai, in China, who is still gonna watching??
They basically just play for money, to entertain the fans. This is not a normal NBA game happening in US.

^^^Maybe "big help" was overstating it. But he'll help. Hawes has a skillset no one on the Hornets' has -- at least until Kaminsky gets up to speed.
Sure he's slow, but he's a good shooter from deep, good rebounder, surprisingly post defender, and a good playmaker/ball-mover. The ball never sticks to him. He's like the anti-Al Jefferson.
I wasn't expecting anything out of him, but he's impressed me so far. I think you'll be surprised. 10/14/2015 10:56:19 AM |

Bosh is back so it's a huge help. But Wade and him both get older, passing their peaks already. So it's kinda pulled back. They have to rely on the rookie Winslow, 19 yrs old from Duke. So probably they will remain the same this year? Actually Wade nearly left the team in the summer. 10/29/2015 12:41:57 PM |

Forget the nice things I said about Hawes. He looked bad. Decent touch around the rim, but painfully slow ... slower than I remember.
I know a healthy Bosh is a tough cover, but wow ... give Kaminsky his minutes ASAP. At least he has a chance to stay in front of Bosh without looking like his bones will crumble.
Game was bad, but I liked the little surge at the end with Kemba, Lin, and Batum on the court together. Easily our best backcourt combo.
Will be interesting to see if Lamb gives us anything when he returns. He's done nothing in the pros so far, but he's got some talent.
Watching Winslow dunk on us--and knowing we passed on him--made me
Watching MKG sulk on the bench while the announcers talked about how good he looked this summer made me

It's a group of very talented kids under 25. They just need to make changes on team offense strategy. From Big AL-Walker system to a whole new system. Big AL's low post ISO play is out of date already. Like I said before, Walker, Kaminsky and Lamb could be the new big 3 of southeast division. The focus should move from under the rim to around perimeter or downtown. Forget about Okafor, Wallace or Mourning. This is a whole new Hornet.
Lin and Batum are veterans willing to prove themselves again. They should be helpful at crunch time.
It's time for Run and Gun.

There are going to be games like last night where we absolutely blow teams out. Seemed like all our shooters -- even shitty Hawes -- couldn't miss
I can only imagine what a healthy MKG could do for this team, being able to lockdown the other teams' best scorer.
We have no one who can really guard guys like Lebron, Harden, even Jimmy Butler. Luckily it didn't matter tonight 11/4/2015 8:01:12 AM |

Hawes made several 3s.
They were saved by basketball God last night. All the fortunes and luck are with them.
last game: 37.2% FGM-A 37.8% 3PM-A This game: 51.6% FGM-A 60.9% 3PM-A
Also Zeller's blood stimulated them probably.
