FFS, time to charge City with tapping up. You don't say what Delph said about saying last week and then just decide to leave a week later. City is clearly in his ear offering absurd wages to be a homegrown benchwarmer...

I can't believe they legit offered £70m for Müller. Sounds like paper talk.

But if one club in England can or would do it that is United. Reality is they are the financial heavyweight in England and this wouldn't even scratch their finances.

They basically paid a guy £250,000 a week last year to be Marauane Chamack with a better hairline... and it didn't even matter.

Rumors about Arsenal bidding on Benzema. Would be massive to get him but Real won't sell unless they can pry Aguero from City.

Sounds like Di Maria is off to PSG. Mostly everyone was shitting bricks about them getting Falcao and ADM last year.

If we're discussing rumors nobody cares about, how about ol' Timmy about to finally be the sucker to take Ade off our hands? I can't wait for that confirmation.

I wish I could make fun of United fans about Di Maria right now (PSG bidding less than half what United paid for him) buuttttt I was so pumped about Balotelli and Lovren last summer that there should be an aimorris credibility watch.

bottom line though, I am a big believer in youth and Rodgers has a very good track record with young academy players

To be fair, Di Maria will go down as one of the bigger busts in PL history given his transfer fee.

He just never settled. I expect him to be brilliant at PSG.

yeah, the whole thing about Balotelli was that he was a steal. so even if he didn't work out (which everyone kinda suspected) it wouldn't be a great loss.

Random thought, but I'm really liking this new ball Nike produced for the season. That patch of color lets me see how the ball is spinning clearly, which is always my main gripe with balls.

[Edited on July 29, 2015 at 8:40 AM. Reason : Sounds like Berahino could be in before the season starts too. That would be huge for us.]

Didn't think it was worth a new thread. Bundesliga will be on Fox this year. Too bad their streaming platform is a piece of shit or I'd be all over this.

cheap under the radar fantasy prospects for me are Shane Long and Conner Wickham. Could both have big years. Berahino is a solid choice, though not really under the radar. I can see Benteke having a huge year.

Troy Deeney is a good option too. He will score at a Charlie Austin level for Watford and I'm pretty sure he takes their penalties too.

Di Maria has proven to be a player that isn't willing to fight for his side. Its not LVG's fault when Ashley Young is keeping you out of the team. Di Maria should have never said he was going to stay and fight for his place if he had not intention of doing so. Absolutely unprofessional and good riddance. 44 million is a good fee for him considering how shit he was in the last 7 months.

Di Maria in a "terrible" year has had the second most assists in the league. Lol.

^ When did I doubt his ability? I still believe he will go on and have a great year with PSG, especially considering now that he plays in a much easier league. He still did have the second highest assists and could have easily gone on to have a great year at United, he just didn't have the balls to fight for it.

Di Maria is going no where. I don't see this insistence that Di Maria has had a bad year. He has had virtually no break since last year (CL Final, World Cup Final, EPL). No winter break this year, got hurt as well. Despite all of this I would say he has contributed well to United and deserves another year. He will probably be a much much better player next year.

You just said he was shit for 7 months but in April you said he contributed well.

You will blindly defend anything United until a player leaves or is rumored to be leaving.

I have clearly implied he didn't end the season well. What does "terrible year" and "Will be a much better player next year" mean to you? That he had a fantastic year?

I haven't deviated at all from my stance on Di Maria. He ended the season horribly and that is because he had no break at all. Note I also said he will likely have a great year with PSG.

Yes sure I wasn't as direct about it as I was in the post today but that is also because he was a United player and didn't disrespect the club until this past month. You just want to troll for no reason at this point.

^ so you shitting on Di Maria, despite the fact that he did have all of those assists is allowable but me acknowledging that he had a bad end of the season but can certainly prove to be a much better player next year is somehow considered being a fanboy?

I can admit when United don't play well and I have done so plenty of times even last year. You are coming in here acting like I never criticize United. lol.

Doesn't matter you will only read what you want to. UNITED TO WIN THE QUADRUPLE THIS YEAR!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Di Maria wasn't afraid to compete on Real for his spot (remember he was the more likely of the two to leave when Ozil did) but he was terrified of competing with Fellaini centrally.... Got it.

^^ Lol so your explanation is that he fell out with LVG, despite there being absolutely zero evidence of that? I hardly believe Di Maria's camp would have stayed silent and disappeared if the player wasn't happy with LVG.

Of course LVG ruined the careers of Di Maria and Falcao but players like Fellaini, Mata, and Young just somehow magically had great years despite of LVG. Got it.
