Done 3 challenging missions now. They are definitely tough, but doable. Reminds me of the night falls from destiny before you got to the point where your shit was so good u could walk through it. Have high end mask, knee pads and holster now.

made it all the way to the library area in the russian consulate mission on challenging. Died twice and all my teammates quit. Since we were in a no respawn zone i couldn't matchmake so I had to quit and lose all that progress which took like 2 hours. Fucking pissed

Yeah I've read that the Russian consulate is the hardest challenge mission. I still need to get better gear. Currently trying to get and save Phoenix credits for the vector blueprint.

^^yeah, my friend told me it took him 4 hours to get through that one and he would never do it again. What I did find out from another mission though is that if people quit, you can run all the way back out to the street and run out of the zone and invite more people

For all newly 30s or high 20s there is an exploit for the Police Academy mission in Grammercy that makes it to where you only have to do the final boss fight. Just did it myself and got 4 purples in about 15 minutes.

Some random did that in a group of ours without communicating it to the rest of us...we're all just clearing as normal and he's getting anal raped at the end trying to solo the boss fight...we were confused...he left.

I saw another similar exploit where you basically do the same thing. It was the mission where the final boss is in a courtyard, forgot the name of it. You can glitch in with mobile cover like in that video but you need a group. Once you get to the second to last room, you some of the group has to run all the way back through the mission to get outside. It takes longer to set up but you can farm it basically forever without starting over.

I'm sure that mobile cover issue will get patched quickly.

There is something annoying about unloading a machine gun into a characters head and it taking 3 clips for them to go down.

I know its a MMO, but I mean damn.

Is there a way to mass upconvert Fabric, Weapon, and Electronics materials from Green to Blue to Gold? Doing it one by one is painstakingly horrible.

nope. you have to do it one at a time.

on PC though you can just hold down space bar and press esc every couple of seconds to make it a bit more manageable.

OK lvl8 and that terrible mission I'm stuck on.

Any advice as I level? Never craft, or always deconstruct? Never buy a weapon as I might get drops enough to do the trick? Make sure to collect tools or electronicsomething often? Skills... Etc

Never buy anything. Don't craft anythi ng til you reach level 30. As you go from 1-30 you'll upgrade stuff constantly. Buying/crafting before level 30 is wasting resources IMO

^Seconded. I think I bought a few things though. A blue M1A, I crafted the level 17 backpack used it for a few levels. You're swimming in mats by the time you hit 30. I was constantly wondering if I should sell or DE and in the end i just pick what I think I need whether it's mats or credits. Now I de if I'm out in the field and usually sell if I'm at the base because it's quicker and easier.

I DE'd a shitty yellow pistol for like 2 HE weapon parts it vendored for like 8k or 9k. Damascus however sells for 40k+ so I think that's a situation where you can min/max what you do with it because I'm sure it will probably yield the same 2 weapons parts.

First HE I crafted well, was Damascus but it's really not that good but you'll have the mats for it. Then as soon as I had enough Phoenix Credits I grabbed the Vector SMG. Don't waste credits on HE Police Mk17 just keep farming DZ or hopping vendors for the First Wave M1A or SOCOM M1A if Marksman/SMG is your style.

I disagree completely. Definitely don't just sell everything, but working my way through levels before 30 there were definitely TONS of things for sale that were so much better than what I was using that I feel it was definitely worth it to buy. Regular money is pretty much worthless once you hit 30, so go ahead and sell some shit and get some nice stuff to help you enjoy/do better in the early levels, go into the dark zone some, fill up your stash and sell all that shit and you're good to go. Now that I've hit 30 it's not like I have any shortage of materials, I don't see any problem with selling (and in some, but fewer cases, crafting)

Yeah I probably bought more than I implied with my post, but I was a week behind release so I rushed thru the game to hit 30 and essentially got power leveled from 25-29. I wasn't scared to buy anything by any means but I was leveling so fast that it seemed like right around the corner was a mission drop to replace what I had just purchased.

I didn't buy anything and deconstructed everything on my way to 30, but I probably took longer than most to get to 30. I did a lot of side missions before tackling the next main mission, so I was usually one level above recommendation.

I did a mix of selling and deconstructing. I found that buying good weapons made the leveling process smoother. I didn't feel like sinking two clips into a single enemy so every few levels I looked for an upgraded weapon, and in some cases gear if it was just ridiculously better.

Credits arent completely useless at max level; you need them to reroll superior gear and it gets expensive quick. Unless you play a LOT there will be a decent transition time between all superior and all high end gear (that requires phoenix credits to recraft) so its nice to have the credits to tweak your purples until you can buy the blueprints/collect the division tech/level in darkzone to be full on HE.

^oh shit nice thanks. I was using one with 25% stability and 30% initial bullet stability. Actually on the vector I think I had one with 18% accuracy and 42% horizontal stability. I've been reading that accuracy just inflates dps but real world raw stability would be favored?
