Ok so here's the lowdown.

After he signed up initially and I added him to the SS list, I got a number of PMs from people that stated that they would not like to have him as their SS. It ranged from reasons of him being in Germany and not wanting to spend $$$ on shipping all the way to him being really fucking creepy.

He really wanted to participate. Stating that he was homesick and lonely in Germany. Before I assigned names, we exchanged numerous PMs about what his SS could order that wouldn't cost $$$ to ship. He said that he had had a number of relatives order in the U.S. order from http://www.amazon.de (German Amazon) and they had no problems at all.

It was then that I decided that I would just take BanjoMan as my Secret Santa. So yeah, it wasn't cheap to order from German Amazon. Especially not after I got hit with a foreign transaction fee from American Express. But I wanted him to feel a little bit of North Carolina love in Germany.

He claimed that he sent his SS gift on December 14. Stated that he bought some "really expensive chocolates" while he was on vacation in Switzerland. He paid for the cheapest shipping possible. Had no tracking information. But was told that it would arrive by the end of December at the latest.

He reached out to me worried that bbehe had not posted about receiving his gift at the start of January. I told him to give it a few days and that if it still hadn't showed, he should order something else.

2 weeks ago, I reached out and stated that bbehe hadn't received his gift and that he should reorder something, this time from Amazon.com so that there would be a tracking number. He said he would order something that weekend.

As of yesterday, he still had not sent anything.

So yeah, fuck you BanjoMan. You ruined my 100% success rate Secret Santa.

I hope you get diabetes and high cholesterol from the Mama Dip's cookbook.

It's not so much the lack of the gift that bothers me about this whole thing, it's the lying to Fhqwhgads and the 'fuck it, I got mine' attitude that does.
