Funny thing is today was my first day on a new job in FL, and a new coworker heard me spelling out my snapchat name and asked, "are you on thewolfweb?" Spent a few minutes stressing what dirt I might have on here, but realized I've probably not conducted myself too poorly. Just weird to have that happen. Also learned a user on here whose username I recognized had built an entirely fake persona, and I found this while anticipating reading through the process of someone trying to portray themselves as someone they weren't.

I would be willing to pitch in a reasonable amount. Unfortunately that would come with the condition that BubbleBobble never be allowed here again (or any of the few, relentless trolls). Much nostalgia, good times, etc. Not a single positive experience granted to him and I nearly stopped coming here specifically because of how fucking annoying he is/was. All other forums I enjoy have no tolerance of people who get off on ruining the experience for everyone else, and aside from all the rest of the work that this place has become to the very few who do to keep it running, I can understand why there hasn't been any action along those lines. Tdub thrived on chaos once upon a time, anyway.

I'd totally be willing to MSPaint major donors in my little bit of free time, but that would be too slow-going to be reasonable (and I don't know that many care for the MSPaint portraits).

It's a sad thing to think that the place might go, but feels like it's been a long time coming. Kudos to the true pillars of this society. Well over a decade of good times ruined by a few bad apples.

Instead of everyone promising money, can we entertain some solutions to the underlying problems?

Like others have said, tww was pre-social networking. Once myspace, facebook, twitter, etc came along tww was on the way out. Facebook would have failed too, if it had remained a social network for students at a select few universities, or only college students.

Is there any other server that it could move to that would allow it to remain rated R/XXX? I know that accboards and statefans both kind of morphed into packpride which eventually turned into the scout.com NC State page.
