If we had just relaxed and made then play our pace this should have been an easy win.

I agree Johnson has been more impressive than Smith. Smith obviously has more potential but definitely has some growing up to do.

Are you tools forgetting DSJ is still a freshman? Yes, he had an underwhelming performance but outside of Dorn its not like anyone else on the team is consistent.

The only couple of bright spots tonight were Kapita looks promising and Dorian shot decent. Other than that this was a painful game to watch.

I never said I didnt want us to be great of course that's what all fans want. The difference is I can accept that it just doesn't seem to be in the cards for us and enjoy our program for what it is. I enjoy watching my school play and want us to win every game I just became apathetic to the constant averageness I guess and just assume we are going to be around a .500 program every year. Now instead of being upset after a loss it has just become easier to accept that it wasnt unexpected shrug it off I suppose.

Not going back through the thread, and I am sure it has been said already but our defense was absolutely dumpster fire atrocious last night. Gott teams are never good at D, but this team is a special level of bad. It sucks too because we have the most offensive talent I have seen on an ncstate team in a while. I love that we don't rely on outside shooting to score. If mediocre teams are gonna hang 90 on us, we are in for a long long season.

we coughed up the call pretty much every time we went on their side of the court. traveling. passing to nobody. air balls last night was a disaster and Illinois is so bad that they let us stay in it for most of the game. they tried as hard as they could to let us have the game but we still wouldn't take it.

our guys need to calm down, get set up, and take every possession seriously. defensively I don't even know what to say - try harder?
