dust doesn't cause asphyxia in healthy people, it doesn't cause cause cyanosis, it doesn't burn corneas, it doesn't cause hypersecretions, healthy people don't need bronchodilators from dust... and it doesn't smell like chlorine. all of those things are seen in the video everyone seems to agree is real and match eyewitness reports from people who were actually there.

the rebels were using tunnels, the use of chlorine makes sense to flush them out, assad has previously used chemical weapons so the use of them isn't that unusual, the US doesn't need a chemical weapon excuse to be involved in syria

Agreed, Russia was clearly trying to propagandize it. That’s why they had such a hard time getting their story straight. Went from rebel false flag, to no attack, to Britain did it back to no attack.

so now you agree that chemical weapons were used (well you don't really, but you realize your argument makes no sense so you're ignoring it and trying to move past it), you just think it was done by someone else as a false flag (even though you're aware that the US has been heavily involved in syria and will continue to have a presence regardless of the use of chemical weapons)

have you wondered why you were so ready to dismiss the attacks as fake and so ready to accept russian statements and a single reporter who posted something that confirmed a view you already held? because maybe you're the one who is actually not thinking critically about this.

I never said I believed anything. I have always been open to the possibility that it was Assad. So unless you can tell me the relevance at this point, other than proving yourself right, this is a waste of time conversation. Chemical weapons are not the reason we are in Syria, and playing up this attack as a special event is propaganda to boost support for the war. I think we can all agree on that.

So basically all the scum (highlighted above) follow these online influential conspiracy theorists, who claim to be "independent journalists". They are far from it, as they start with an unshakable belief in the opposite narrative -- which comes from Russians or others of their ilk -- when trying to counter the official narrative, rather than starting with a clean slate and trying to establish facts.

So instead of "let's figure out who carried out the chemical attacks before blaming Assad", they start with "the rebels (or white helmets) carried out the chemical attack" or with "there was no chemical attack". Are these facts they have arrived after seeing evidence? No, those are just the narratives pushed out by Russians and pro-Assad camps, and have ZERO evidence.
