Samuels numbers are down this year. He definitely padded stats against Furman and Pitt. Sure, we don't have another player like Samuels who can do it all but we have all of those needs met. Hines is clearly our best rusher and Harmon is cleaerly our best wr. Meyers has had a better year at reciever and louis has been comparable.
A lot of the Samuels TDs could have easily gone to other players. He literally stole the TD catch from Meyers vs Clemson. 11/11/2017 10:29:27 PM |

Problem with d has been same all year. Great pass rush, average run defense.11/12/2017 6:16:25 AM |

Stopping the run requires linebackers to plug whatever holes the s-line can't cover and our linebackers are garbage 11/12/2017 7:47:32 AM |

1. Miami, Orange (not likely) 2. Orlando, Citrus (more likely, but requires winning out, preferable since it's a NYD game against the SEC. 3. Charlotte again to play some who cares team like Kentucky.

Projections I have seen have us in 2nd String Camping World Bowl against WVU (again). Championship runner up will get Orange bowl (even if its Miami). Means we are fighting with VT for the Citrus Bowl. Win out and we have a shot but VT has a better fan/media reputation so it could still be tough for us to get in even though our conference record will be better.11/13/2017 8:49:23 AM |

but if State wins out, conference record is 7-1...the best VT can do is 5-3
so they can't leap us, right? 11/13/2017 8:56:35 AM |

^^that is correct. If we win out we'll play in the citrus bowl (unless something insane happens with the CFP that results in Miami and Clemson both going.)] 11/13/2017 9:40:12 AM |

We're -1 with the home team traditionally getting 3. So it's more of a pick'em, but yeah -1 going to Wake.
Wake is weird. They keep losing key players and getting better. 11/13/2017 11:07:47 AM |

^2 wins, 8 losses. That's the last (10) games played @Wake, so over a 20 year period.
The two wins were 2001 with Rivers and 2015 with Brissett. 11/13/2017 1:50:17 PM |

We could feasibly be in the Orange conversation if Clemson loses to SC and then gets blown out by Miami, yeah?
They'd still pick Clemson, but...

^^i think they'd base it off of the CFP rankings, and most likely Clemson will be higher than us but i guess there's no guarantee. the most realistic way for us to get to the Orange is Clemson and Miami both make the CFP, right (i'm thinking that's more realistic than Clemson losing to SCar and Miami and us jumping Clemson)? or would ND get consideration for the orange? 11/13/2017 2:51:10 PM |

Well, realistically there's no way to go to the Orange Bowl. We are definitely in the driver's seat for the Citrus (and probably still are even with a loss to WF.)
The only things keeping us from the citrus bowl are us losing out or Miami AND Clemson losing regular season games (thus keeping the ACC champion or of the playoff.). Chillax people, we got this. 11/13/2017 3:27:09 PM |

^i'm not trying to be dense here...but if clemson and miami both made the CFP (yes, it's unlikely) then wouldn't we be the choice for the Orange from the ACC if we win out? or do they get to take ND, too? i know that's a lotta ifs...just trying to understand where ND fits into any of this. 11/13/2017 4:45:30 PM |

i still want to understand why people want the citrus bowl over camping world. i would love to hear the logic behind wanting to play an sec team over an equally ranked big12 team. at the very least, it seems there shouldn't be a preference but I would think, winning should be the most important thing to everyone. 11/13/2017 6:55:37 PM |
