Ehh whatever. If they can package him/draft picks/whatever and improve the top 6 forwards, that's a huge win. He doesn't really have a spot on this team as long as staal is around. You cant just fill up your roster with defensive-minded centers and then wonder why you can't score in the playoffs. Plus he's fuckin small. Do we really need another sub-6 foot 170 lb guy? He's 23 and still struggling to crack the lineup.

I think we've seen Drury's ceiling in a way. If they can move him and get someone good in return, I'd be fine with it.

Im gonna assume that's still happening. Could also potentially involve them as a third team in a trade for like Karlsson or someone, so that might be the holdup.

From a hockey perspective it makes a lot more sense to pay $2.5 million to DeAngelo to play on the third pairing than it does to pay Pesce or Skjei almost twice that/more than twice that to do the same.

It really is. Like I would probably not be friends with him IRL, but I'm willing to bet a whole lot of hockey players have very similar political/social views but are just not big loudmouth jerks about it (including many on this very team!!!)

To be fair that wasn't a trade. They just signed him as a free agent. The only trade rumor was Karlsson.

Also wouldn't be surprised if they still end up trading Pesce or Skjei before the season. Seriously doubt they go into the season with 8 D on one way deals.
