Yeah, they're ranked.

I usually do a server search for small to medium ranked maps. There's usually one or two pistol servers within an acceptible ping range.

But forget ~50. Now that I've gotten the hang of this style of play, it's 75-125 points per round. I earned my silver pistol, silver medic, and silver first aid, and about 500 points while playing for a couple of hours last night.

i can usually get 200 points per round commanding small/medium versions of karkand

its easy with a decent team because even if you suck at commanding, its so linear its like you almost cant fuck up

i got 3000 points that way in just a few days

after having taken months and months to get 5000

^ you need 7 in a round to get basic knife

Go here http://bf2s.com/player/65855934/ and you can see your stats, and if you go down to the medal/badge area and move the cursor over the badges it will tell you what you need for each one and how close you are.

Oh and do you play nothing but sniper?

yeah it used to be knife had round requirements for all badges just like pistol but i guess they changed it

its easy to do if you either sneak up on people like snipers or people firing in a direction or if you just run up to people, go prone and start swiping since most people go prone with you and you will take them out most of the time

PLEASE HELP...

I just formated and reinstalled everything on my computer for a fresh start. I reinstalled bf2, bf2 spec forces, and downloaded and installed the 1.4 patch. I have a road runner connection and I am getting 4.4 megabits/sec. The games and maps load quickly, but as soon as I get in, I get a connection problem that will not go away. I cannot play online at all. Any ideas??

I get connection problems quite a bit, maybe once every 4 or 5 maps I play. I just wait a bit and reconnect.. sometimes its the server crashing but usually I can just reconnect and it works fine. A few weeks ago it was going crazy not letting me connect at all or for like 5 seconds but I'm not sure what was wrong if it was BF or RR

yeah that's the only thing i can think of now.... make sure you have PB on.... (little check box in one of the option menues) if it is, google it and do the manual update for pb....

if that doesn't fix it i really have no fucking clue what it could be....

well i switched back to the connection through the apt complex and it works fine... so its something to do with the router. I'll call road runner later. But I can play! It's not my game or my computer!

make sure all required ports are opened within the router. i had to set up my router per EA's port guidelines to get the game to work right.

i fucking have played this game for so long, and my computer got fucked up at the beginning of the semester so i had to reload everything, well i think the patch 1.4 got loaded right and everything but im only picking up like 300 servers instead of like 8 or 9 hundred. then i had armor fury so i had to re install that and everything but its saying i have something wrong and wont let me play. like my 1.4 patch isnt really 1.4
