When I think of elite wide receivers, I don't think of Bruce or Holt, Fitzgerald yes. Maybe more a product of scheme, Warner still had to make the throws though.

Remember when they pulled the fire alarm in Seattle.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if we pulled the opposite?

Cut the fire alarms off and start an actual fire. Classic.

Most speculation out there is that Lynch is unlikely to play, but there is also too much conflicting news about whatever happened for him to self-dismiss from the vikes game...

Either way it sounds like he's not 100% yet, and probably won't be in just 1 more week.

I think not wanting to play Seattle has a lot more to do with our history with them than how they've actually played this year.

It's not really Lynch that I'm worried about, it's our secondary against Russell. Being down Bene and Tillman, feel like McCain and Finnegan are going to be targeted a LOT.

Do the Seahawks get Willson (TE) back for this game? He's a huge weapon that they didn't have yesterday. I keep hearing that the Seahawks got lucky...which they did...but I really feel like they outplayed Minnesota yesterday. Their defense came up huge after turnovers and they ran the ball better than Minnesota (as well as stuffing AP). Wilson was off, but that's going to happen when it's negative degrees. If I'm the rest of the playoff teams, I'd be worried that this was their bad game that they got out of the way.

i don't think there's been any word on Willson yet.

that's certainly true...SEA is a good team and their defense, plus Russell Wilson make them a scary opponent no matter what. that said, i feel like this mentality kinda ignores the fact that the Panthers are still the NFC's best team. and at 15-1 with homefield advantage everybody is saying "oh man this is a scary matchup for CAR"...i mean, sure. it is. but it's also a pretty scary match up for SEA.

overall, their run O was pretty non-existent yesterday. and outside of that one broken play where RW made something happen, their O did very little. you're right. the weather certainly had an impact there, i'm sure. but they hardly looked unbeatable yesterday.

About week 12 or so I said we would lose at Atlanta and then lose our first playoff game to Seattle so I am gonna continue assuming that for now. I want to believe but I have been a fan of teams that fuck it up for too long not to assume that haha.

This is a game we should win, no excuses. It's not this group's first playoff game, we're going to be favored, relatively healthy and at home. Best way for us to beat them is to keep it on the ground, away from that ball hawking secondary, which we should be able to do with a rested Stewart.

See I thought Minny outplayed Seattle for 3 quarters yesterday, they just got the 2-possession lead and let it slip. They ultimately had the win, despite horrific QB play from Bridgewater, and were a chip-shot FG from beating Seattle in horrible weather.

Minny's D was legit for most of the game yesterday, AP fumbling and Bridgewater playing awful and they still were in a position to win the game.

and a horseshoe in the ass play by Wilson to save what should have been a fumble and 10-yard loss.

once that happened i knew Seattle would win.

yeah i, too, thought SEA was outplayed by MIN. SEA couldn't move the ball, and although it was only 9-0, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that SEA would be very hard pressed to put together 2 scoring drives to take the lead. and they wouldn't have without that wild play by RW (which he's capable of doing every game) and the fumble by AP. which is why we gotta limit turnovers - we've done a good job of that all year. and score TDs instead of FGs (duh). lynch being out really killed their O. and i'm sure the cold weather played a factor in their pass game as well - including one instance where they went for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking a FG early.

they are good. should be a very fun game. i think we are better.

heard of the radio today that Carroll already viewed the Falcons dismantling of the Panthers 3 times overnight and likes what he sees. He said he would have THEM as three point faves if it was up to him.

I guess I saw Seattle driving really well in the 2nd half (that horseshoe-in-the-ass play came on 1st and 10 after several first downs).

Seattle actually put together a couple drives, they just seemed to end in penalties or turnovers. Where as Minnesota was only able to get FGs after getting short fields on Seattle miscues (int and punt fuckup).

Minnesota looked like shit on offense because Seattle's defense was stout. They stuff AP all day and also got to Bridgewater with regularity. Cam is faster/quick/stronger than Teddy, so that obviously won't happen as much in Charlotte. Should be a great game.

I hope the Seahawks crush the Panthers such that by the 4th quarter all of the wine & cheese crowd goes crying back to their luxury boxes, the bandwagon fans throw off their Thug Newton jerseys as they scramble to put on their Steelers/Patriots/Green Bay gear, and Jerry Richardson croaks from all his anger.
