Rowan is slow as all get out which would make for being a 4 perfect. Especially with his shot. put a little weight on and boom. Watch out. Better than him getting ran past every possession when he is in the 3. he has got to get quicker. I think Rowan in the 4 can spread the court a little more than with Cody because Cody cant shoot outside of 10ft.

singler was much more physical and a slasher from day 1. singler could bang inside from day 1. i don't really see rowan as much of a slasher or penetrater at all but more of a scott wood.

Singler was a MUCH better shooter. He shot 46% from the field his freshman year. There are no comparisons. Singler was a much better defensive player as well, not to mention he was a year younger than Rowan as a freshman. He averaged 5reb, 1 block and 1 steal a game as a freshman

1 - They both averaged ~34% for threes
2 - Rowan took way more threes than Singler (as % of total and in general), so of course his overall FG is lower.

yeah i think he can slide over to the point if needed. i guess the question would be whether or not he's better at the point than Cody. Cody wasn't great, but got more and more comfortable as the season went on in his limited PG duties. i think either one would be fine in spot duty at the point.

yeah that had nothing to do with it. purvis' eligibility was under question when he first arrived at state...can't recall if he missed any games, or just missed some practices. but it was all cleared up and then he transferred later. so i guess it was all a silly headache dealing with the ncaa on that issue. but that's it.

that's where the "puvis is clears to play" shit came from.

I would say It's not always about the results but when you have the best chance of conning the draft too. That's what has hurt a bunch of UNC players through the years is that they've been talked into staying around long enough for the pros to figure out they suck.

So Barber leaving, Warren, and maybe to a lesser degree Leslie and Brown all moved when their stock was likely to be the highest.

Lacy would have benefited from another year of exposure.

That may be true, but if the players don't suck, or maybe wouldn't suck if they had a year or two more devopment then there isn't a reason to con anyone.

I can't help but wonder if Cat wouldn't have had a buddy hield type of year and significantly increased his draft stock next year on a better team. CJ and Zo both could have benfitted from another year of development as well (especially CJ).
