I think it would be interesting if they did two seasons back to back... they would need a story big enough that it could last 48 hours straight through and not get boring.

With the big gaps in between seasons, Jack is 8 years older than at the beginning of season 1:

Between S1 and S2 - 18 months (1.5 years after S1)
S2/S3 - 3 years (4.5 years after S1)
S3/S4 - 18 months (6 years after S1)
S4/S5 - 18 months (7.5 years after S1)

Keifer is really 40, but Jack had to be mid 30s in season 1... if it keeps up with the 1-2 year gaps between seasons, by season 8 he will supposed to be like 50 something. Even senior citizen Bauer would kick some ass though.
