Just had a crazy team monobattle.

I got medivac randomly, team was stalker/infestor/raven vs. ling/roach/maurader. One of their team had left before the game started.

So I just started building PF all over our main, and the gold, and trying to feed my teammates minerals/gas. End up getting pushed w/ maurader/roach/ling and my teammates were pretty bad. The guy w/ infestors did nothing, and they take most of our main base out and everyone on my team leaves but me. We had a ton of minerals/gas and I saved the probes from the stalker player. Built more PF around another gold, and there were still maybe 12-14 ravens left. Just kept harassing w/ the ravens and rebuilt w/ the toss's stalkers. Ended up winning. Never actually made a medivac.

I didn't play particularly well once everyone had left, since at first I didn't think I'd actually be able to win I just wanted to screw around w/ the other guys ravens. Odd monobattle though since they had nothing that could hit air.

I played some guy who asked my rank and I didn't know what to tell him. I mean, 1v1 I'm silver, 2v2 masters with zags, 3v3 platinum, and 4v4 gold. It's all over the place.

Looks pretty weak so far in what they are showing. Looks pretty much just like WoL campaign except this time you have Kerrigan as a hero unit that you can upgrade too. Couldn't see any new units there, though it does look like queens are upgradable (that might carry over to MP), the rest just look like visual single player upgrades. Though the zergling swarmling upgrade with the wings looks badass.

I figure since the Terran campaign contained several non-league units (e.g. Firebat, Science vessel, etc) we can expect the same in the single-player campaigns for other races.

So far I'm only looking at it like a typical DLC - more story, more single-player, and a few new gameplay bits. I don't expect it to be WoW-expansion big.

I'm semi new to sc2. Anyone run the speedling + muta strat in league 2's? Is it effective? I've been using it in vs. A.I. matches and it seems to rape.

This is basically true. I do it in every matchup except ZvZ and in all my team games. The most important thing is positioning, it can be a difficult strat because you NEED good macro in the beginning as you will quickly want to be running off 3 hatches and lings take a ton of larvae. Your army will be very fragile but can be deadly if you catch your opponent in the right place.

I haven't watched any of the earlier games. The Losira/MC series was awesome. First game (Shakuras) they both fast expand, Losira scouts MC's stargate and is easily prepared for the voids/phoenix. He then transitions into a mass ling/roach/baneling drop army and raped, it was awesome. The third game he went for fast hydra + nydus and ended up dropping 3 eventual nyduses at three spots in MC's base and filled it with creep, it was epic.

I didn't see all the games but from what I saw MLG definitely is the premier tournament right now. I don't care that in GSL the average player might be far better then the average MLG player - MLG was loaded with good players from all over the world and the westerners did take some games off the Koreans. I enjoyed the Idra/MC rivalry and the final few games were all great, much better then any GSL final has been.

Now I just wish SoTG wasn't on a two week break, I would like to hear Idra's reaction to this weekend.
