However, he's ahead of the following guys who you may, MAY have heard of:
Ilya Kovalchuk, Bobby Holik, Mike Comrie, Daniel Briere, Patrick Marleau (which is inexcusable since he plays on a good team), and dead last in the league, Brad Richards (a conn smythe winner)

All most all of those guys are forward who play on the Power play. They almost always have negatives. Furthermore they don't play D, being in the + isn't as a big of deal because it doesn't necessarily suggest they're not scoring because like i said, the PP comes into play on that. THe + is a much more crucial stat.

Yeah he played with Kaberle, but Kab is only -5.

^most of them aren't on that list b/c they're forwards on the PP, they're up there b/c they're not solid 2 way players and/or on a shitty team.

If you want examples of good 2 way forwards who play on the PP and are near the top of the league's +/- rating, here ya go:
Dany Heatley, Jarome Iginla, Henrik Zetterberg, Spezza, Ryan Getzlaf, Mike Ribiero, Daniel Sedin, and so on....

I've never had trouble parking at the horse complex, but before I was aware of it, I parked across the street from Wendy's and the gas station on the grass/dirt. Never seen that blocked off ever.

The horse complex is unavailable during a lot of weekend games when the weather's nice because they have shows. But I've also seen it randomly closed off once or twice for seemingly no reason. Maybe you just got unlucky on the day you tried.
