Messi is so damn good you have to watch the reply most of the time to see the brilliance. I totally missed that he megged Bocanegra to set up their goal until the replay. Too bad no one else decided to show up for them, and when they tried Tim Howard went Incredible Hulk on them.

Don't talk shit about Dempsey diving, did you watch the last 15 minutes of the game? Every other foul had an Argentine on the ground, usually with multiple rolls and leg / ankle grabs.

We all know that argentina are some of the worst divers around, just commenting that dempsey is one of the few americans who does it. He's very european in that he's creative and dives a good amount. You rarely see other american players do this.

I think it's part of Bob Bradley's plan to come out ultra defensive, go down a goal and then come back with some good subs. He literally does it every game, and it's one of the most frustrating things ever. I would never have 2 defensive mids out there at the same time unless its the end of the game, yet bradley does it at the start of almost every game with michael bradley, clark, edu, jones, whoever else.

Agudelo looks like he could be a big part of the future of US Soccer given his age. I like Altidore, but you have to actually score goals from the striker position to stay in the first XI.

Agudelo is stronger than Davies is, I think. But yeah, they're similar players.

And the awesome thing is Davies didn't come onto the scene till 24/25. Agudelo is 18

it's weird to think that we might have 3 pretty good strikers on the team (if davies ever comes back strong, which i think he will). No more will we have the days of eddie johnson and conor casey.

Jozy needs somebody to play off him, so while we have the majority of our best players as midfielders, the 4-2-3-1 or whatever you want to call it isn't really effective. Especially when Donovan's not really a factor.

Teal Bunbury, Agudelo, Jozy, Davies, and I've only seen good things about Omar Salgado at Vancouver - we should have a very decent crop of young athletic forwards at our disposal. Bob's 2 "holding midfielders" (who don't hold much of anything against decent teams) philosophy has to fucking go.

2) Agudelo looked good, but I am not getting too excited yet. Didn't Eddie Johnson score like 8 goals in his first 8 games and never do anything again?
3) Is that the best field that US Soccer can find to play on? The ball died as soon as it hit the ground.

Agudelo isn't nearly as fast as Davies was, especially on the ball, but he seems to be a lot stronger. More like a player in between Altidore and Davies as far as style goes.
