Indeed. Too many Cock fans are playing the "We're the SEC, therefore we'll crush you" bullcrap, and I'm freakin' sick of it. Those cocks need a reality check in the worst way. Beating them might even come close to the feeling I had watching State stomp a mud hole in the Tarholes last year...

the "injury-prone" label is really not true. This should be stated.

the knee to the head (After repeated late hits in the SC game) was a freak accident and anyone would be in the hospital the next day unless you've got titanium plates in your head.

the injury in the ECU game (which did they ever say what that was) was one odd injury

the injury in the bowl game was due to his cleat getting caught in the turf and getting his knee trapped under him. another freak injury.

Injury prone dudes are those guys who have like at least one concussion every year, or their knee is always screwed up. This is not Russell's predicament.

haha i really don't think that feeling i had in the 4th quarter watching the stadium empty out in that hellhole can really be surpassed very easily... but i do agree that a win here would be awesome

^^ didn't schiano catch a lot of flack for the way his defense was tackling because they injured several qb's going high low last year?

this has nothing to do with our game but BC just lost David Shinskie with a broken rib.

Quote :
"Boston College quarterback David Shinskie, the 25-year-old former minor league pitcher who developed a slight edge in a very blurry quarterback competition this summer, broke his rib and is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's final two-a-day practice, a school spokesman said.
ACC blog

Shinskie never threw a collegiate pass in a game but was becoming the Eagles' best hope at quarterback. He was injured in Sunday's scrimmage when he was tackled by defensive tackle Damik Scafe. Shinskie is listed as day-to-day.

After completing three of their four scrimmages, Boston College coach Frank Spaziani isn't any closer to naming his starting quarterback, let alone solidifying the depth chart at that position.

All four quarterbacks played in Sunday's scrimmage, and redshirt freshman Justin Tuggle went 8-for-16 for 84 yards. Junior Codi Boek completed 6-for-12 for 74 yards, while freshmen Michael Marscovetra and Shinskie both had three completions.

The Eagles, who have made back-to-back appearances in the ACC championship game the past two seasons, have been searching for a quarterback since last year's part-time starter, Dominique Davis, decided to transfer. Nobody on the roster currently has any experience."

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/08/25/hurricanes-blindsided-by-dual-qb-transfers/

Quote :
"Yesterday at this time, Miami of Florida had three players vying to become the backup to Jacory Harris at quarterback.

Today, that number has been suddenly and unexpectedly slashed to one.

Both Taylor Cook (no relation) and Cannon Smith -- via his father -- have told the Miami Herald that they are transferring from Coral Gables.

"Yes Ma'am it's true," Cook told the Herald's Susan Miller Degnan when asked if he was leaving the school. "I'm just going back home to play some football. If I go to a Division I-AA school, I can play right away. If I go to another Division I-A school, I have to sit out another two semesters.

"Yes, I got my release. I made a decision and I'm sticking with it."

Cook, who hails from Eagle Lake, Texas -- yes, I have no clue where it is either -- was the backup to Harris exiting spring ball.

Smith's father told the Herald that his son received his release from the school, and will head home to Memphis before deciding on his next collegiate step.

The twin transfers leave true freshman A.J. Highsmith as the only person standing between Harris and a helluva sh-tstorm for the Hurricanes at the quarterback position."

damn, i feel sorry for miami ... thats some NC State shit type of luck

Was Qb a strong position for Miami this season? I know there was some talk about Miami being a pretty decent team, but I don't really remember where they were supposed to be good. If they have a decent running game and don't rely on the pass as much, perhaps they'll be ok? Not saying I want them to or anything, Miami is probably my most hated ACC school behind UNC. I just wonder to what extent this will play (assuming their #1 QB doesnt find himself on the injured list).

It hurts to say this, but I think we want Miami to do well. For one if they beat FSU then that helps us. We don't face them this year. They are in the other division, which I must remind you all that UNC is in. So if they are doing well, then that means that UNC is most likely behind them. Truthfully this is how i hope the Coastal division will realistically end up:

1) VT
2) GT
3) UM
4) UNC (I want them to be DFL, but I doubt they will be as bad as UVA and Duke)
5) UVA
6) Duke

VT has at least two home games a year where everyone in the stands (obviously not including visiting fans) wear orange or maroon. It looks pretty awesome with either color.

Our "whiteout" is going to look something like this right?

I waited about 1 minute for the captcha code image to load, and another minute for the confirmation to load once I submitted it. Total time requesting a ticket, ~8 minutes.

Anybody going to Blacksburg this year? Other than BC, its the only ACC stadium I haven't been to!

nope but I'll be at BC this year!

I went to VT a few years ago. It is a great stadium, loud and enjoyable. Everyone was really nice, even had folks saying "welcome to blacksburg" etc. Obviously the students weren't that way, but that's a given. It's one of the prettiest campuses in the country and overall a great experience

I think after this year I'll have been everywhere except Miami and UVA

It's the first week of a once-a-week class. If I miss it they drop me and then I don't have enough hours.

It's ok, I can miss the first 10 minutes of the game if I can get in for free.

just claim something got dicked up with your schedule and you weren't sure if you were in the class or not until the 2nd week the class meets. i think i did that a couple times... for no reason.
