We're not looking at Andrew White. I think the staff likes our squad for 2016 as it is now, think the idea is that the only player we'd take now is Newman because he'd be able to redshirt and help with practices and be ready to take over in 2017 after Dennis Smith Jr leaves.

It was basically assumed that Newman would take all 5 OVs, and once Kansas was out on Thornton they'd likely come sniffing around Newman, so it's not really that big of a surprise. Not sure how much of a contender they are, but you can never count Self out, solid recruiter.

The only way we pick up White is if we don't think we're going to land Newman. We only have 1 scholarship left, picking up White would mean Newman isn't a possibility.

I haven't seen anything about White being on campus, but I just don't buy us taking him unless our staff feels we're completely out of it with Newman.

There's no reason to question DSJ, and he's the only one that's actually ranked high enough to matter. Take him out and it's a pretty normal class for us, 5*, 4*, 3*, and I guess 4* on kapita. But yeah it's in the inside carolina thread too.

Supposedly some "experts" say that Yurtseven could be a top10 player, and one of, if not the top Center recruits if he had played HS in the States, so that (on top of having one of, if not the top PG recruit and two other 4*s) isn't exactly a "normal class for us".

Yeah Chad Ford did his top 100 players for next year in college and DSJ and Yurtseven are in the top 12.

And again. The yearbooks came out yesterday. The speculation was a week ago. Obviously the bucks didn't know ore they wouldn't have taken him in the lottery on THURSDAY.


Gotta agree on dennis smith jr. He looks about as legit as any nba level prospect I've ever seen on mixtapes. He's got that westbrook type athleticism.

I always laugh at the "oh cat barber/cj Leslie/etc are probably a 1 and done" type idiotic comments everyone makes. It's laughable how people always get fooled.
