T. Jones (Q) vs TB or McGahee vs MIA
MIA vs BUF or DEN @ ARI 12/13/2006 5:20:10 PM |
Panthro All American 7333 Posts user info edit post |
MIA is @ BUF, right?
Anyway, go with McGahee vs MIA
gotta go with him consider Jones is losing half of his carries to Benson.
with that said, even though MIA Defense is hot right now, dont play a defense that will lose points if your RB does well and vice versa.
IN YOUR SITUATION, GO WITH DENVER AND McGAHEE.

its a tough situation. I really like MIA defense but with Jones' injury + Benson, I gotta go with mcGahee.
so you're sayin... sit my defense if one of my RB's is going against them.... definitely?`

I suppose nothing is definite, but how much of an edge over your opponent (In the FF Playoffs, btw) is a TD by McGahee going to be if you gain 6 points for it, but then lose 4 points because Miami allowed a TD.
McGahee's TD's become worth only 2 or 3 points as opposed to 6.
No one else in this world, other than your opponent, would promote making that move.
besides, Denver is going to have at least 4 sacks, 2 picks, and 2 fumble recoveries, with a max of 17 points scored against them (and thats best case scenario for Arizona).

so, watson looks like he's not going to play for the pats this weekend
so pick one
best free agents are
daniels @ NE wrighster @TEN utecht @ CIN wiggins @ NYJ mcmichael @ BUF graham @ HOU (watson's backup, this is who i'm leaning towards) 12/13/2006 8:00:58 PM |

QB: Pick 2
Vick(Dunn and Norwood-less offense) vs. Dallas McNair vs. Cleveland (current starter) Garcia vs. NYG (current starter)
And if I start Garcia, do I still start Reggie Brown over the recently bad Andre Johnson?
Not sure if Vick will be forced to run more and get tired out, or if teams will blitz a lot to make him throw it alot.

Need to pick another running back.
I have LT + one of these: Marion Barber vs. ATL Tiki Barber vs. PHI Reggie Bush vs. Wash
I'm thinking Tiki, but my opponent has Brees, so I might throw Bush in there to try and negate a TD or 2 12/14/2006 9:54:29 AM |

Well I'm into the semifinals in my league:
Eli vs. Philly Vince Young vs. Jacksonville
And I have both Cincy and Indy D, which to start? I'm leaning Cincy bc their offense has been smoking the last few weeks, so they very likely could torch Indy's D. 12/14/2006 1:08:23 PM |

since my RB situation sucks this week (T. Jones not a good play and McGahee going against my defense)... I picked up Leon Washington. Right now I am starting McGahee (vs MIA) and Denver (@ ARI). Should I start Washington (vs MIN) and Miami (vs BUF) instead? 12/14/2006 2:15:42 PM |

DAL D @ ATL CAR D vs PIT 12/14/2006 4:20:18 PM |
kable333 All American 5933 Posts user info edit post |
Seems counter-productive, but start DAL. I got a feeling since Vick is going to run, DeMarcus Ware and the Dallas D will get sacks. Plus, last week was last week. CAR isn't going to stop Willie Parker.
That said, DAL. 12/14/2006 4:27:27 PM |

ok...yeh thats why i was a little wary of starting Alge at first, but I figure if ATL scores it will be on a throw to Crumpler so it will not hurt as bad. Plus Carolina's defense has looked ugly ever since the STL game.
Thanks. 12/14/2006 4:46:23 PM |

I would say Hackett, but I dont know if the rumors about 70 mile per hour winds is true.
Quote : | "Wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour are expected for Thursday night's game in Seattle between the Seahawks and 49ers, according to the Seattle Times.
The worst wind in the history of Quest Field were 17 mile per hour gusts in 2002, so conditions would be unprecedented if the predictions are true. However, weather changes by the second, so you should wait until much closer to game time before reconsidering which members of the passing game you include in your lineup. " |
check the weather just before game time. If it looks ok, start Hackett, if not, I would consider Kennison.
definitely not Williams. No TD's or more than 5 receptions for 42 yards in his last 5 games makes him a MUST SIT.

kennison will probably be in a high scoring affair against SD which makes him a little more attractive to me, especially considering the wind in SEA.
my other two WR's i got goin this week are Steve Smith and Burress. Hopefully they will have good weeks and I won't need to sweat out a TD from my 3rd WR.

i could be wrong but I think Detroit is playing Green Bay which isnt a terrible matchup but the D for green Bay has really been its only decent and consistent strong point
cleveland is 24th against the run Green Bay is 17th against the pass
Lewis is the answer here

has anyone heard any new news on the whole Daniel Graham/Ben Watson situation in NE?
I've also got another sticky situation I want to get advice on:
I'm playing against Marc Bulger this week, my current starting WRs are Javon Walker (@ ARI), Torry Holt (@ OAK) and Devery Henderson (vs. WAS). I have Andre Johnson (@ NE) on my bench. Should I start Johnson over Holt? Torry has been going off lately so I would hate to bench him even if it means that I wont get full value for his stats - if he does have another big game then at least it will negate Bulger's stats.
To make matters worse, I have Oakland's Defense starting this week. The best waiver wire DEF out there are GB vs. Detroit, StL @ OAK, and Jets @ Minn, should I pick one of these defenses up this week?
thanks for the help in advance 12/16/2006 7:20:53 PM |
