^ It's in Sweetwater, TN, with my local ETR SCCA. A bit far for you if you're still in Raleigh unfortunately lol.
It's an awesome site though, here's the Google maps link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/35%C2%B036'37.3%22N+84%C2%B035'01.1%22W/@35.61035,-84.583641,4019m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0
All those trailers on the satellite view are gone, so we have the whole dirt section west of the under-construction speedway, what is going to be a drag strip in theory at some point but is just graded and leveled ground right now. For now we have the area in red, and they're going to let us use the area in blue as well at some point:

Hey glassssssss, go to http://www.thscc.com and look under RallyX events to see the calendar of events. you can sign up and not be a member. The next race is in Wilson, it's really smooth and has gravel.
^yeah, 6 hours, 10 minutes is a long drive, one way
looks like fun though

- fixed boost gauge in red truck, helluva kink in the tubing. we're seeing 25psi or so now! - did a once over on black truck last weekend, found a broke intake tube mounting tab and exhaust all falling out of its clamps. pulled exhaust and looking to revise my attachment points to get better grip with my band clamps - hopefully finish tomorrow and Friday to be ready to cruise to Rudy's with it.
....nothing like the sound of an open downpipe! (just had to hear it with exhaust off). I'd leave it off, but the smoke is killer. 3/12/2014 7:23:29 PM |

Got new tires. Kumho Ecsta XS 225/50-16. Went out on Bragg to use the skills shop, my friend wanted to show me how to mount tires as I'd never done it before. He put a hole in the sidewall of one. Needless to say I did the other 3 3/21/2014 10:42:53 AM |

Yeah, we had a club day where everyone got ready for the upcoming driving season by changing fluids. There was about 12 Vipers there.

^Thanks...just not in the budget, for a long time at least.
Anyone on this board have experience with returning shock absorbers to Koni under their lifetime warranty policy? I'm 99% certain that my 14 year old, 160k mile Koni Yellows are worn out and want to return them to Koni for replacement. I just got off the phone with them, and it looks like all you need to do is fill out a warranty request form, copy of your car's registration and proof of purchase. After approval you ship the shocks back to them and they will evaluate them on a shock dyno. If they're outside of spec they replace them for free and ship back to you.
However, at the moment I'm having a bitch of a time finding proof of purchase 3/27/2014 2:15:55 PM |

I'm about to roll some fenders this weekend, lettuceprey I dont fuck this up. Theres no way in hell I'll pay 150 when I can rent the roller for 50. Seems self explanatory, heat it up, go slow. 3/27/2014 2:39:03 PM |

yes due to my excessive drop, I have a minor rub over huge bumps, gonna get rid of that. Call it a baby tub. After the roll I'm free to up my size to 295s
I'am disappoint that I bought these wheels with the correct offsets and they still have a rub #G8Problems 3/27/2014 4:47:46 PM |

^^why would you go to 295s? Big increase in unsprung weight and your handling balance will go to shit. I don't see the point? 3/28/2014 10:18:28 AM |

I plan to have close to 600 to the wheels eventually.
I'm weird, I worried about weight when I purchased wheels (My original plan was camaro ss take off 20's but they are heavy), but I don't care when it comes to the tires.

600 to the wheels include juice ?
Ps think of it this way... Every lb you add to the rear rotating mass take away a 2whp

Well that'll be sweet. But fuck some 20's. Unless you need extreme stopping power necessitating 15+ inch rotors which in turn necessitates 20's then they just hurt your handling performance.
Still haven't obtained proof of purchase for my 2001 Koni shock purchase. Spent 3 hrs going through old boxes at home last night, no dice. Called TireRack up and while they could tell me what shipping address I had in 2001, they no longer had purchase records for back then My last hope is the credit card company with which I purchased the shocks. Sending their archive dept a written request on Monday morning....sigh.

14" 4-piston Brembos fit under most 19"s (says the guy who got 20's to fit 14" Akebono brakes that fit under 19s)

Pushing the point further...unless you track your car oversized brakes are almost as pointless as 20's, as another example of form hurting function.

What kind of power/weight ratio or 0-60/quarter are these vehicles capable of that you guys are talking about?
My shenanigans;
Car 2: Exhaust/intake already done. Just put colder plugs in, smaller supercharger pulley on the way. Maintenance wise a stability management sensor on the way.
Car 3: Exhaust including headers no cats w/simulators, intake and tune already done, considering a larger intake manifold. Replaced throttle cable bushings. 3/30/2014 12:19:36 PM |
