I think even if we win them in the shootout, we're in because we have like 4 more ROWs than NY. Win both and we're in, no questions asked.

Also, Devils fans on other message boards are hoping the Devils play spoiler to the Rangers moreso than to us. Whenever the Rangers go to Prudential (and the Meadowlands before that), the arena is like 75% Rangers fans, so I'm sure they'd rather play spoiler on the last game of the year again to spite them.

Carolina (89 points) has its fate in its own hands. The Hurricanes visit Atlanta on Friday and host Tampa Bay on Saturday -- two wins and they’re in. If the teams finish tied in points and non-shootout wins, the 'Canes would advance by virtue of going 2-0-2 in the season series.

Okay, I know you guys think there is some huge rivalry between the Devils and the Canes, but rest assured that in New Jersey no one cares about the Hurricanes. Sorry. The focus of the Devils has been and always will be beating the Rags especially if it means playing spoiler and denying them entry into the post season.

I did the online chat thing, and talked to a person, and they both gave me varying responses on what would happen, but both in the end basically said that it wouldn't be on 1508, which is our regular FSC-HD channel, so I don't know at this point. Like I said, I hope they're just completely retarded (which is a pretty real possibility).
