Based on armstrong's tweets and then his post as well as that starnewsacc tweet ("nothing has changed since purvis was cleared to attend class") it seems possible that he was initially ruled ineligible back when it was announced that he couldn't attend the games in spain. Of course, that doesn't really make any difference that I can tell. But that would make sense to me.

Since they've ruled he can attend classes (and practices), i don't think the 29th means anything anymore. Since he's permitted to practice, I would assume there is no date. He just won't be able to play in a game unless he's cleared, at some point.

Take that source for what it is, a packpride source. I know for a fact that his mom has been working with the NCAA while Rodney was in school to insure that this didn't happen. How long has she been doing that? I don't know but I would be willing to bet that she's been doing earlier than his senior year. Whether they file a lawsuit or not is completely up in the air but I do believe that his family is pissed and will take legal action if Rodney gets punished for following the rules they were given.
